Sleepy-Sparkle’s Art Dump

I have never drawn anything with this sort of texture before, so it was difficult to wrap my brain around. In total it took about an hour; surprising to me since it was such an exercise for my art brain. Trying to figure out color and blending was confusing, but thankfully I had the official Nintendo art to help. This is also the second to last Kirby for my goal. I think by now I should explain why I’ve been working towards it this past year. It’s gonna be a sticker sheet! It will be listed in my shop with some of my sticker designs. It’s gonna be amongst the first physical items I ever sell in my shop. Hehe :> I’m supposed excited!

Fun fact: he actually got the Kirby car cake at the Tokyo Kirby cafe last year for his birthday! The trip was a graduation present of sorts (for me), but things aligned with his birthday so we had all the reasons to drag our parents to the Kirby cafe. 3 times!

Decided to test out different methods of simplifying fruit textures and color mixing. It took me a while, but I think I'm figuring it out! And to think the answer was in Animal Crossing.

This one was a bit hard to get right, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. I used what I learned from the peaches and applied it here.

This was a lot of fun! I used the techniques from my old blueberry drawing (for the ramuné) and applied them to my new (evolved?) style.

I struggled with the chocolate filling texture, but it was a ton of fun to draw these chocolates! (If you couldn't tell, texture is super hard to communicate in a round, chunky style.

I spent, and I swear to god I'm not lying about this, 6 fucking hours on the bottom shark's lineart. Yes, I am crazy, thanks for asking. The colors were surprisingly easy, though, and it communicated the texture perfectly! Who would've thought the first thing I tried worked out so perfectly?

This was a massive challenge to draw, and it took me quite a while. The ice cream was also a struggle. I'm not completely happy with the result, but I am happy I tried new techniques, and one day, when I have the skill set, I'm gonna try and take a stab at it again.

I'm so incredibly happy with this drawing! It was the first thing I had drawn in a while, and I couldn't be happier with the result. All my artist eyes see is perfection!

I recently decided to redraw some of my old art so my style was more consistent, and holy shit, I like this one sooo much better than my old one!

This is the new version (and first sticker collection redraw) of my old art. I thought it fitting since it's one of the classic drawings my mom printed out on sticker paper.

Eevee is one of my favorite Pokémon! I had a ton of fun with this one, and I'm starting to play around with backgrounds.
