I like to think that SM is a master of all arts, but prefers theater above all else, so he can't be bothered to put effort into other forms.

Hence, the silly PV-doodle at first. But once a skill - always a skill, and he likes to show off more than anything else, so he “refused to be bested by some meager sketches!”

(If he chooses to do so, he can probably paint and sculpt an entire gallery of PV all on his own)

Meanwhile, PV is a highly skilled healer with an academic background, so I hc that he is good at note-like sketches you sometimes see in scientific journals or personal diaries.

And while Smillk’s art is more expressive and emotion-driven, PV pays more attention to mundane things: a calm morning moment, a slight turn of the head, and how a change of light sharpens Smilk’s silhouette, etc.

And i wasnt with you for Pure Vanilla being a good artist but the healer with an academic background argument,,, thats sooo smart and i can honestly see that soo well youre so right op, that definitely convinced me
