Ahh, forgot to mention, there is white lily in this au, as well as my main sillylilybilly polycule.

It's quite the wild story right now, but for a strand to context: Lily was only a smidgen part fae who grew up amidst humans, growing obsessed with the supernatural in interest of her lineage. Sought out an entity of knowledge, aka Fount, and had accidently turned into vampire in her pursuit of knowledge by being curious and coming into contact with the vestiges of what remained of Fount's "Spilt Knowledge" at the place of the First Communion.

Ironically the only reason Lily lived and was also accepted into fae society was because of Shmilk's disease having kept her alive and started mutating her some wings(among other attributes like the long ass ears)

Pv is, for rn, a priest of sorts? More so perhaps a medium, post-cult. He's dabbled in the wrong places, really, in reference to his time with Doughael, so he knows a thing or two about demonology. He traces the footsteps of Lily's journal documenting her pursuit in the occult and attempts to summon this great entity, Virtue of Knowledge. Shadows melt from the walls to form in the middle of the ritual circle a silhouette of a man, and then on Pv and this entity converse, yada yada. They lowkey hit it off pretty well

When Pv ultimately gets attached (he's not quite mentally ok, obsessing over the whereabouts of his "friend" and this entity making a remarkably emotionally-intimate companion-- but that might be his lonely, low-empathy high-compassion ahh), making preparations of a binding ritual via salt and other shit around the sigil that kept his demon there, said demon gets lwky offended(or scared, who knows) and reveals this sigil shenanigans never held him in the first place-- leaving the poor blonde bozo alone thereafter. Helps wonders for Pv's mental, truly /satire.

The demon(Shmilk) being not actually a demon(Wowza! What a twist!) was heavily hinted being that the demon followed Pv into his every day life soon enough after their first contact; always in the shadows, watching, peering, staring, listening; and was never actually bound to the summoning circle. Also cuz the substance of their arrival never even came out the sigil in the first place. Shit didn't even work.

Anyway, take to the present setting of the story: Pv now live streams his spelunking and exploration of the supernatural in haunted, dilapidated buildings. It's in hopeful search for his friend, Lily, as well as maybe a way to find his runaway not demon. Live streams are just a secondary-account measure for if his footage gets corrupted or his eyes get deceived, because it being live meant hundreds and more other pairs of eyes are seeing the same thing and he can just roll back the chat rather than the footage that's probably been magically tampered with.

Shadow Milk is lwky inspired by the pepsi man lmao. He just mysteriously arrives into random streams and either drops off a little plushie effigy of the streamer, or performs a little silly jig that may or may not be downright impossible (ie: juggling his head).

The plushies are used by him as backup bodies that he wears in alternative to killing the person and using their body to temporarily take their identity. He can't shapeshift into another person because some truths are just too stubborn to remain buried(his scars, color, pallor, etc). He uses this disguising method in order to gain intel inside commoner-prohibited settings, so he usually aims to give plushies to the famous and privileged. Why he specifically heavily target streamers is because they tend to document their entire day, if not week. Knowing where they are, their schedule, and their current state, physically and socially, is crucial if he's going to one day take their identity for a short while.
