𝑟𝑒𝑏𝑒𝑙⠀⠀ ˡᵉᵃᵈᵉʳ⠀⠀

her handmaidens tell her to stay away from him,  that he has quite a reputation across the galaxies.  it's nothing leia hasn't heard before,   nothing that bothers her more than anything else.  besides,  rumors spiral across the holonet,  words get twisted so easily that the princess has discovered more about herself from the papers than she even thought possible.   so when they warn her that captain kirk rarely stays,  it doesn't bother her.  neither does she.  this she remembers as they sit on the balcony of her makeshift palace,  as he reminds her that he's off on another adventure the very next day.  tomorrow is his adventure,  today is hers.  "i hear you've been busy,"  leia raises an eyebrow,  giving him his glass.  "you're a difficult man to track down captain kirk." 

darkness shrouds her vision,  the edges of her screams haunting her as she twists in her sleep,  leia hears him before she sees.  at first,  the voice rings through the vision,  that @soloreign is calling to her in torment as she witnesses the masked figures tear into her home,  cross her balcony and come pouring into her children's room.  LEIA  LEIA  LEIA.   he calls,  and the princess cannot distinguish reality from dream,  present from the vision as han shakes her until her eyes snap open.  blood rushes to her head and leia feels the knot in her body tear and combust,  against han's chest she inhales and exhales,  suddenly choking on air.  "han,  the twins —  we have to get to the twins."   her hands clasp his,  suddenly pushing,  shoving,  aching to know that jaina and jacen are alright.

when they first met,  her eyes immediately went to his hair.  the soft, silky white tresses that cascade his back were eye catching to any,  and the human princess could imagine no greater honor than sitting here now,  with the lord's head in her lap,  caressing such softness.  they sit in the palace garden,  far past the eyes of the keepers,  far past the soldiers.  in a spot carved just for them,  they are sprawled across the grass as leia speaks over him,  their eyes locked as leia undoes the single knot. 

music fills the cockpit,  another one of his antics' leia has such picked up on.  clad in the softest white fur,  the warmth of his ship is a stark contrast to the icy planet they were just moments ago.  the princess rarely leaves the republic,  too engrossed in the mundane routine of preparing to rule,   too engrossed in her job as leader.  but when her fathers' watchful eyes leave,  and there is but a lull to the governmental proceedings,  leia finds herself running away to see him  —  even if her favorite starlord picks the most frozen planet to escape to.  she'll coming running @st4rlord's call. at the sound of a hatch closing,  leia's attention peaks.  

it is her father's idea,  that the brilliant mind leia organa possesses will do little to help the rebellion if she cannot stand toe to toe with her enemies in battle.  the princess can detail every strategy to the ink stain on a map,   but she falters in the more basics.   it was practical of her father to prevent her from learning to fly,  had a younger leia known the way,  she would have left years ago —  soaring through the skies in her own rebellion.  the escapist fantasy ends as leia ducks under the gate,  approaching @gurrillero   [of course she's done her research to the detail,  the famed cassian andor is her latest instructor on how to lead a rebellion to success].  

the sound of canons is all that rings through the battlefield,  as the princess ducks with her companion beside her.  their passage was meant to be nothing but a secret,    that princess leia was traveling away from alderaan on a diplomatic visit.  nothing could be further from the truth,  she thinks to herself,  as she brandishes tactical knowledge to bring to her allies in camelot to combat the growing war  —  one hope against the growing empire that seeks out to bring about the destruction of all that she holds dear.  "i thought we were traveling in secret?"  leia yells out,  covering her face with her arm to block the resounding explosions.
