We live in a time where people sound like a distorted tale of Chinese whispers
This is a response to those on Tumblr, who say that “you should stay away from Toronto Dawah and Masjid Muqbil” and so forth… “because they are the students of Shaykh Yahya al Hajooree and they defend him.”
The clip above is a question asking Shaykh Fawzan, about whether we should take knowledge from Shaykh Yahya Al Hajoori. Shaykh Fawzaan states in the audio, that he has heard only good of Shaykh Yayay and this and advising one to benefit from where there is a benefit. The audio is from January 2017.
To add to this, some people talk for the sake of it, wallah! We live in a time where people sound like a distorted tale of Chinese whispers. If they hear so and so said this about this person or this shaykh they don’t even attempt to verify the “second-hand information” given out to them. As a result, they end up spreading lies, to deceive and cause damage.
The Example ‘inserted below’ is from the many examples of how some of them either lie and deceive or just simply get lied to and deceived and then simply blind follow their whole point is, “I heard” and this is what their whole arguments is based upon. If one was to take a close look at it and plus the youtube videos of Abu so and so said.
After some individuals made it widespread that Sh. Fawzaan had warned against Shaykh Yayah, people like the sister above who I have hidden her name out of respect and wishing for her what I would wish for myself. She clearly passed on a distorted tale of Chinese whispers and as a result, she responded with the above without verification Wa Allahu Musta'an.
The clip below is what Shaykh Salih al Fawzan حفظهما الله said in regards to this kind of deceit and lies that they try to attach to him and other Scholars,
To reiterate what Shaykh Salih al Fawzan said in the above clip is transcripted below:
“There are some brothers, may Allah pardon them (and guide them). They are afflicted with evil intention/desires against a person, or hatred against an individual from the seekers (students) of knowledge, or the Ulima (scholars, the people of knowledge).
So they ask you a question and you answer the general question. Then they take this answer and put it against that person (they dislike, by name etc.). This is their aim against this person, that you imply to him ( their method of attacking him, because they have hatred for this person, and is against him).
So they say: So and so (scholar) said in this person is this and this, (or he is like this and like that)! And you did not even mention this person by name….or no such a person at all, that you only answer a general question (without mentioning that person name). And they put this on the person that they are against, they say (shaykh) so and so intended this person, and intended a group of personalities, and with this they come with audios, and author books with such claim saying (shaykh) so and so said this, said this person he is like this or he is like that ( claiming shaykh so and so refuted this person or issue a fatwaa against this person), and he answers about this.
And the goal of theirs with this is to cause corruption among the people and to incite problems between the seekers (students) of knowledge. And this is the cause of enmity falling out between the seekers of knowledge.
So we warn you, and we ask you by Allah to keep away from this type of characteristic. And do not be mislead and misguided with this bad dislike characteristic or this bad character becomes of you. So be aware and extremely cautious of this bad character.”
Allamah Sheikh Yahya hajooree is teaching in masjid taqwa in mecca after the intercession made by the Aalim Saleh ala sheikh.✨✨
I am not trying to upset anyone or score points, lest I become misguided due to that. Ibn Abbass said, “knowledge is not sought to argue with the fuqahaa, nor to shame the ignorant or gather the people.
Shaykh Salih al Fawzan حفظهما الله:
“Warning people about misguidance does not cause disunity, rather it creates unity.”
Ash-Shaikh al-Imam Muqbil bin Hadī al-Wadi’ee رحمه الله:
“We are in a time of trials and tribulations (fitan), it’s obligatory to gain understanding (fiqh) of Allah’s religion so that we distance ourselves from the fitan upon insight”.
