How come he’s choosing to quiz/train Amberlight to become a medicine cat instead of Marshtrod? Wouldn’t it be better to train a cat for that who doesn’t have/isn’t recovering from a head injury? Is it because Flamewatcher’s worried about the clan knowing that he’s dying and/or feels like Amberlight fits the role better?

Good question! Its a couple of reasons

Amberlight is in the medicine den and recovering well from his injury, and is the only cat Flamewatcher is in close proximity to all day. He cant afford to bring someone else in while there are apprentices to train, and a young, unwilling mind is worse than a grown one when he needs someone to learn fast and take it seriously

Also, Amberlight is kind by nature and hates fighting; it's the reason he left StormClan, because they were constantly at war

In light of Flamewatcher's ailment here's his sister Mudfern from StormClan! She was one of four medicine cats due to the size of the Clan Flamewatcher was a warrior his whole life, but when the time came for our small group to split off from StormClan, Flamewatcher went to his sister to learn herbs and sickness as quick as he could manage before heading off with the others

Hey thanks! Hardest is Toadweaver (fun expressions for her though), easiest is Greenkit, and fav is Marshtrod by a long shot- I love her big big paws DX (hence her name)
