“Airship Graveyard at Dawn”

The morning had not yet decided what to become. A slow mist moved through the wreckage - the bones of ships that once dreamt of the sky. Their hulls sighed with dew, their engines slept, and light, that ancient intruder, slipped through the ribs of brass and memory. I remember painting it as if tracing a memory I’d never lived. Every surface felt alive with surrender - not decay, but rest. Rust became a kind of prayer, a way for the past to breathe through color. There was no noise, only stillness heavy with stories that no one was left to tell. I think of that place now as a beginning. Not the birth of a world, but the moment it remembered itself. Where the mechanical met the sacred, and something in me understood that light is most honest when it has nothing left to prove. - The Rusted Moon Journal
