MEME REPLY FOR: @directorcuts
Eye soften and for a moment, she drops her facade. For just a moment she is neither the red lipped beauty who took on the KILLER or the queen bee. âI donât knowâI guess,â she sighs, âI guess, I donât really.â After all, itâs easy to stretch a smile on your face, deliver perfectly rehearsed âIâm finesâ until people STOPPED asking. And they did stop asking. Actually handling it, meant confronting it. Something Ivy was far from ready for.

âItâs called jealousy, Ivy,â Rosalie replied, a little amused by the reaction, though she knew had she been in the same situation, she wouldâve been just as upset. It happened when the only thing people ever noticed about you was that you were pretty. Forget smart, pretty was what mattered.
âBut all that counts is youâre queen, and youâre giving them something to envy. People want to be you. Dramatic life and all.â
âI mean, I know that. But still, itâs like the AUDACITY of some people, you know? â It shouldnât gotten under skin nearly as much as it did, but it was the little things that made the whole ordeal bearable. The shiny crown on her shelf being one of them.
The crown meant so much more now than a simple stamp of popularity ( though sheâd be damned if anyone dared try to take that away from her ) --- it was also proof, that despite it all she survived.Â
Rosalieâs words make her smile, it's a bright & proud grin. âWell, it sucks to be them, cause thereâs only one Ivy Morris and---position filled.â
the butcherâs shop seemed bigger than it actually was. he took a deep breath and kept his eyes fixed on the building, trying to remind himself that this was a perfectly normal place and everything would be absolutely fine. people did this everyday, and they found no problem - so why should he? most of all, if he actually went inside, it would prove he was fine - he had no reason to believe things were anything save for absolutely great, right?
forcing himself to move, he got himself through the door of the shop. the hand gripping his wallet shook, getting worse the more he was aware of it. his eyes scanned the place carefully, hoping a focus on the surroundings would cut through the suffocating smell of meat. he was there again and was about to die again and-
faintly, he was aware of the sound of his wallet hitting the pavement, but it was nothing. he ran, slumping down once heâd turned a corner, trying to breathe. it was getting harder to deny what had happened.
@slashcrvictim
Ivy was simply walking past the little butcher shop, not expecting much more tan an uneventful walk. She hadnât really expected the man to burst out through the doors like he did, he was running like his life depended on it. Which, sheâd be lying if she said that it didnât put her on edge at least a little.Â
But life seemed to go on as normal, a woman even exits the store after him---there was no threat. And thankfully no REAL reason for her to be clutching the pepper spray in her purse.Â
The dropped wallet catches her attention as it falls from his clutch, she leans down to pick it up. â Hey! â She awkwardly jogs after him ( in all her high heeled glory ). Luckily he wasnât terribly far off despite how quick he seemed to race out of the shop.Â
âYou dropped this,â she says holding up the wallet. âAre you like---okay? The only people Iâve seen race out of a butcher shop that fast are vegans. Unless...youâre vegan? â
