brutalism catches a lot of flack. personally, i think it's an important style within the pantheon of modernism. i do appreciate the occassional brutalist building, but that probably has to do with their frequency, or lack thereof, more than anything. if they were everywhere, like on some university campuses, i could easily feel otherwise. for certain though, people, in general, dislike concrete facades covered with rust stains and moss.
