[ENG Subs DL] Tales of the Stage ~Justice of Light and Shadow~ Bonus Content - Roundtable Talks
Hello, hello~! @goldentigerfestival and I are back with more Tales of the Stage content~!
This time, we bring you subtitles for the Roundtable Talk (a.k.a. cast interviews) that were included in the Blu-ray package.
It was a very insightful watch because we get to learn a little bit more about the cast behind the stage, and their thoughts and processes regarding the game, its story, their roles, and their performances.
The cast interviews are divided into two: Team Yuri and Team Flynn.
Team Yuri's members are Yoshizawa Tsubasa (Yuri Lowell), Tanaka Naoki (Repede), Miyu Suenaga (Estelle), Kondo Risa (Rita), and Uchida Kensuke (Don Whitehorse).
Team Flynn's members are Katou Shou (Flynn), Kitano Satsuki (Karol), Katou Mao (Raven), Terada Shinju (Judith), and Izumi Shuhei (Alexei)

Yuri’s stage actor is named “Tsubasa/翼” which, as a word, translates to “wings.”
They could be referring to Red Bull’s slogan, “Red Bull gives you wings,” and then proceeded to make puns out of Tsubasa’s name.

Miyu (Estelle), makes a comment that Risa (Rita) reacts to, but it’s pretty quiet and Uchida (Don) speaks over her so we couldn’t quite make out what she was saying.

Flynn definitely has to roll for composure when Yuri makes that face. He can still speak his mind on the matter, because this is Flynn, but that pout absolutely works in Yuri's favor at times and he has no idea the effect he's having on Flynn. (Unfiltered Fluri thoughts at all times on my blog, in case you're new here~)

Finished translating the Vesperia drama CD, TalesRing Vesperia, comic market 80, titled “Tales of a Thriving Beachside Shop”!
Summary: After a job Brave Vesperia finished is unable to pay them immediately, and Yuri and Raven spent the last of the money they had before finding out about this, the group is unable to pay for their inn stay. To pay off their debt, they open a shop on the beach. Surely nothing can go wrong for such a simple task and they'll be able to pay off their debt just fine, right...? ...Right...?
I love Yuri and Flynn's dialogue for their MA in PXZ2 (I remember a different one in Vesp, but I don't remember if there's more than one version of dialogue).
Flynn: This will decide it!
Yuri: Counting on you, Flynn!
Flynn: I'll sync with you!
Flynn's wording means to match up rhythm and/or speed, to unite, combine, join together, connect, or overlap (all of which fit the context). Flynn's basically reassuring Yuri that yes, he can count on him, and he'll sync up his attacks perfectly with Yuri's. 😊
Also love Yuri saying that he's counting on Flynn, because I feel like it really shows how much he trusts Flynn. He also says it in Heliord when they're leaving to chase after Cumore, and he knows Flynn will be there to handle the situation with the residents and get them back on their feet. Yuri's not formal about it in the sense of like, "can I count on you to [do xyz]?". He just outright says he is counting on him bc that expectation and trust is already set. He doesn't worry about it or feel like it's pressure on Flynn.
I just love how readily he knows he can rely on Flynn. In the case of their MA here, it's this implicit trust that neither of them will mess it up, and that their attacks will combine together perfectly.
Even the tiniest bit of dialogue can mean so much with the right bond. 😊

Soooo funny story is that I started this right before Scifo Day (4/4) with the intent to celebrate Flynn, which is why Yuri is invading Flynn's personal space because that is the way Flynn would want to celebrate a day dedicated to him.
But life likes to get in the way sometimes, so I'm posting it now! Enjoy a super belated Flynn day piece~
