Just silly cards I made cuz they're literally perfect for it ( hearts...VALENTINE-)

I don't know how well I made the cheesy lines for them since I kinda had to winged it lol :p

This took place at the Taigan Safari Park in Crimea. It's owned by a Russian businessman named Oleg Zubkov, who has a... colorful history with captive animals and authority. He also has zero regard for public safety or the safety of his animals. He advertises his park as having a "Walk with the Lions" experience, which allows (as seen above) unrestricted access between animals and people.

In '18 a woman was mauled by a lion after entering its enclosure for a supervised photoshoot. She survived, and Zubkov agreed to pay her medical bills, but he also blamed her for what happened by claiming she was drunk.

That article also mentions a worker, Maxim Yakovlev, who was mauled to death by a tiger, though again, Zubkov denied any responsibility.

In '22 a tiger bit off the thumb of a 1 year old boy. Zubkov actually went to jail (for a few moths) for that one and then turned around (that same year) and stole some animals from a zoo. The park has also had a lot of financial issues and other "incidents" involving the animals.

I hate seeing this video so much because, violently agreeing with the above, having been on safari in South Africa this is 100% NOT what safari should be.

Safari parks, when run correctly, are supposed to provide patrons a chance to venture into a protected but WILD environment. You, your guide and the jeep/transport are supposed to be neutral elements to the wildlife, as unintrusive as a bush or rock.

You can take photos, observe and just enjoy nature, but the guides make every effort not to be a disturbance. You wear plain clothes in muted natural colours, you don't make loads of noise and you DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PET THE ANIMALS EVEN IF THEY COME CLOSE TO YOU. You are an INTRUDER in THEIR HOME; the jeep is the only thing keeping them from realising this and treating you as a threat. Even in resorts built within safari parks you observe the animals with care and stay indoors with windows closed if wild creatures (monkeys, warthogs etc) come close to your accommodation.

If an animal attempts to get INTO* the jeep that is the result of a list of failures on behalf of the park to protect the guests AND the animals.

*(note: this doesn't count for animals landing/climbing on top of jeeps as ideally, as stated above, the jeep is just another lookout rock or tree to them)

Sure, this lion doesn't seem to be bothered by humans but it's still a damn lion. It has sharp claws and powerful jaws full of teeth and it's HEAVY. Even if it's docile it can still hurt people just by clambering over them.

And even if this tour party is 100% ok with an apex predator climbing into their vehicle it could only take one shriek or misplaced hand or fast motion the lion gets startled by and suddenly you have a very large, strong, unhappy predator who does not want to be there and will find the easiest way out.

You remember those dumb videos of people startling their cats with cucumbers? Now imagine that with a creature 10x it's size but with all the sinew and instinct jacked up equally.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
