Sure.  Now the only question that remains is whether or not you're the type of girl who can pack 'em away or if you're the kinda chick who orders a salad, takes a few bites, then pushes the remainder around on your plate for half an hour.

Whoa, that’s pretty cool. 

It's sicker than a quarantine ward.  I'm trying to figure out how to use my power to make me fly. 

[She stood in the art gallery at Kennebunkport it’s also totally daytime I promise. She turned to someone standing next to her.] So this place is big on the whole “ship and ocean” thing. This is like the seventh ship I’ve seen in five minutes.

I'm just surprised that they even have art galleries in Maine.  I'll take paintings of lighthouses and ships at sea to mounted deer carcasses any day.

I don’t suppose we have time to climb them all, so… Would the tallest tree be the oldest one?

Alright...  so, which one is the oldest?  The one with stretch marks and stories about having to walk 20 miles up hill, both ways, barefoot to school?

[He shrugged.] They’re not bad or anything.

But average!  [He stared down at the burgers on his tray]  Average isn't good enough.  I mean, I think they're made from angel's dingle-berries....what don't you like about 'em?

[He grabbed one of the mini hamburgers and ate the whole thing in two bites.] These are… [He chewed thoughtfully.] Average.

[Skylar feigned a heart attack]  A-average?!

[Once again, Brady found himself rolling his eyes.] It’s your funeral, kid.

[He winked]  Only if I fall.  [The waiter called their order and a second later Skylar returned with two trays brimming with sliders]  Ambrosia~~!

Uh-huh. You do realize you’re only going to dig your grave deeper by running off that way. If you fly away in a tornado, don’t you think the people chasing you will see you? They have magic, they can just bring you down.

But you're missing the point.  It would look so awesome.

Let me know when that happens, I’d like to see that for myself.

You probably will.  A teenager caught up in tornado in the middle of New Jersey?  Yeah, you'll see it.

Yeah, I have. I actually used my power to get into the RV. It’s intangibility: I can walk through walls. What about you? Any cool powers? 

Yeah.  I can do this nifty little thing where I control the wind.

[Sage laughed] Nice. That’s a decent story. I kinda found this place while…lurking around. Okay, well—basically i tried to steal from the RV because I thought it was normal RV, ya know? But no, it turned out to be some magical moving castle or something. It was pretty shocking finding out I was witch, honestly. 

Ha, so shit!  You wandered in thinking, "Man, I'm gonna steal these guy's vacation money" and wound up in a mansion.  Oh, what I wouldn't do to have been there to see the look on your face.  D'you know what your power is, yet?

I’m Sage Blackwell. I’m also new here. About a month. So what’s your story? 

Well, in Cranston, RI, born and raise, on the playground is where I spent most of my days.  Until I started making trouble in my neighborhood, and my mom was like, "You're moving in with your Aunt."  Instead of going to Bel Air, I ended up in Harry Potter.

[She smiled back at him] I like the sound of that. So anyway, what’s you name?

I was going to do it either way. I love climbing trees.
