Skylar Lief

Eric smiled a bit brighter, his gums showing as they rarely do, as he wraps his arms around Skylar. "I promise, jagi, I will make sure that you never lose this feeling if I can help it. I am by no means perfect and there may be times I retreat into myself but I promise I will never stop trying to be the soulmate you deserve."

The warlock smiles as Skylar kisses him, melting into his touch. "By all means, spoil away. I will never say no to you, nae sarang" he says kissing him tenderly.

Skylar cupped Eric's cheek, letting his light warm them both with a gentle licks of warmth. "I wish to embrace your heat. Embrace all the facets of you. To love and to hold them forever. To call you back when you stray away because you feel like you are not worthy of such love. I will care for you, Eric. Forever. If you'll allow me too."

"I trust you. I know you'll never hurt me. If you are able. There any many things in this world that are inevitable. Pain is one of them. But together we will be able to weather those storms." He pressed his lips together. "I've always wanted such a love. I was with Malachi so long I'd come to accept that relationships were one sided. I am blessed to have something new with you. I will never take it for granted. This I promise you."

Eric continued to listen, wiping his eyes. "I will never let him hurt you again. He has alot of people to get through first but I will send him to hell where he belongs if hw tries. You are safe with me, nae sarang. We are one now" the warlock says softly, kissing him gently and resting his forehead against Skylar's. "And if you would like, nae sarang, perhaps I can make you something to help with the nightmares. I have them too from time to time and Magnus made me a charm to help with it, among other things. A few filter through if I forget to wear it but it does help with the nightmares and control my power." He said as he showed him the necklace he rarely takes off.

"It would be both my honor and pleasure if it means you get to sleep, my soulmate" Eric smiles before pulling Skylar into his lap and holding him close. "You know...I have never been much of a tactile person despite who my platonic soulmates are. But with you, it feels right to touch you, to hold you, to kiss you"

Skylar melted into Eric. Loving the affection. “It’s been a long time since my light was this warm. It’s because of you. Eric. My beloved.”

Skylar slid gracefully onto the warlocks lap. His cheeks pinked as Eric looked at him. He laughed. “Look at me. All flustered. I never want to lose this feeling.”

Eric continued to listen, wiping his eyes. "I will never let him hurt you again. He has alot of people to get through first but I will send him to hell where he belongs if hw tries. As Eric continued to speak, Skylar felt lighter and lighter. It was a lovely feeling. It had been heavy for so long. He adored his friends, they were his family. But something about Eric made him feel whole in a way he never felt with Malachi.

Skylar cupped Eric'a face as they sat with their foreheads touching. The peace surrounding them started to glow as he let his power envelope the two of them in soft white light. "Let this night be the first of many, my love. I look forward to building a life with you. As I am your world, you are mine. I will cherish you, this I promise."

"There was one young Fae that caught my eye and we talked for a while, his name is Ezra. But I fear for you if he and I get closer because he was sent to get you by the one who we have been trying to protect you from." He says with a sigh "He has David and Seraphim protective of him as well. He does not want to take you back but he fears his wrath and David, Sera and I refused to confirm you were here and refused his request to speak to you unlessyou allowed it. I did not want you to worry more than you already have been, my dove, and cloae off again. And you? Have you met anyone interesting tonight?"

An icy trail crept down his spine. "Malachi is here?" The need to flee overtook him as his heart began to race. "Oh no...not this, not now." He clutched Danny's hands tightly as he fought to reign in his panic. He didn't want to leave his friends but he was terrified. "And this..." He exhaled. "Ezra. Will he tell him I'm here? Oh Danny...I am frightened."

"Then he is precisely what you need, my heart. Someone to take care of you. As you have taken care of me and your family. Please let him. For a fear for your true happiness."

Eric listened to Skylar's story, anger at Malachi filtering through their bond before he could stop it. He quickly reigned it in so Skylar could finish his story. "That was not love, nae sarang, but infatuation. He painted the perfect picture to reel you into his web and then showed his true colors. I would never hurt you like that and I would never push you to do more than you are comfortable with. You are my life now, Skylar, and I will do all I can to make sure you are happy, safe and loved." He says before kissing him again.

The kiss made Skylar melt. Like he was wrapped in a warm cocoon. That he would be safe. Be loved. It felt a lot like when he was with Joel. Or David or Danny. That all encompassing love. When Eric pulled back Skylar had tears in his eyes. "Thank you...for wanting me Eric. No one could ever bestow a more perfect gift then themselves."

"I would set everything aside for you...I hope you know that." Skylar said, clasping Danny's hand in his own. "You are part of my world. All the love your feel for me...I have for you. Maybe even more. You are my lifeline. All of you are. I would be dead if not for my most precious friends. I love you...very much."

"If I cannot be vulnerable and open with mt soulmate, then who can I truly trust to be myself and not be judged for my past?" Eric says softly as he continued to wipe Skylar's tears. "I want to know you the same way when you're ready to share"

Skylar sighed into the kiss to his forehead, not wanting the touch to end. Skylar loved affection. In all its forms. He relished in physical touch. His friends were wonderful about letting him love on them. "I would hold your heart in my hands and breathe light into it once more. If nothing else than to see you smile, my love. Your smile is beautiful. I look forward to may more moments like this one to cherish between is. I shall make it my life mission to show you what love truly is."

Joel smiles brighter as Skylar spoke of Eric. "I know he will take good care of you, Sky. If he doesn't? Danny and David will have to wait in line to kick their platonic soulmate's butt because I will be there first" he says only half joking. "I am so happy for tou, Sky, for you to find your missing piece so you can finally feel complete and heal." He says kissing Skylar on the temple.

Eric closed his eyes briefly at the kiss to his cheek, feeling his whole body tingle at the action. He felt the familiar tingling of Skylar's initials etching themselves to his collarbone and exhaled. He relished in the feeling of being complete for the first time in his life and when he looked back at Skylar to see if he felt it too, felt their souls intermingling, a tear rolled down his cheek without him realizing. "Finally" he breathes out softly because he finally found his missing piece. His home. Eric reached up and caressed Skylar's cheek again before leaning in and placing a kiss to his lips as another tear fell. He knew Danny, David and Magnus would probably tease him for crying but he was overwhelmed at finally finding his forever love.

"Infinity sounds almost too good to be true but when you say it, I feel it's truth." He murmured and kissed his temple. "Only Magnus, Danny and David know of my past. My parents abandoned me when I came into my fire power and I accidentally burned my mother's favorite rose bush. They left me as the ward of the High Warlock of Daegu who beat and tortured me, even letting others in our circle beat and torture me, until I was 15 and ran away to Busan. I met a girl and fell in love, or at least I thought it was love but my close friend turned out to be her soulmate and they both abandoned me. I roamed Korea for over a century and was ready to give up. I attempted to end my life but Danny and David found me. They never left my side unless Danny had to go back to Faerie for his duties. I met Magnus in Seoul and for the first time in my life I knew what the love of a father felt like. We eventually settled in Brooklyn and we've been here ever since. I have a good life but until I met you, the loneliness was eating me alive" he caresses Skylar's cheek "You may br damaged but so am I. To me you are the light in my dark existence"

As Skylar listened to Eric speak his heart to ache. For Eric. By the time the warlock finished, tears were streaming down his cheeks. When Eric cupped his cheek, Skylar let out a little sob. But it wasn’t sad. He smiled at him, covering his hand with his own.

“Oh Eric…” He sighed out his name. His story was so sad. “I am grateful to Danny, David and Magnus. For without them I wouldn’t get the chance to be with you. And I want to be with you. More than I’ve ever wanted to be with anyone. I will love you, cherish you. Take care of you as long as you’ll allow it. You never have to be alone again, my heart. Never again.”

"They must be special if you're telling me about them. Do I know your mystery man?" He asks.

"Eric? I've met him! He is kind of quiet but a good man. Is he your forever, perhaps?"

Skylar smiled at the blush. “I hope he is. I’ve not seen you this happy about a prospect before. You said he’s a warlock?”

Skylar’s own blush warmed his cheeks. “He’s a wonderful, beautiful man. And yes… a good person.”
