Sooooo, I could link you to some pre-built PCs, but I hate pre-built PCs and would totally advise building it yourself (or at least pick the parts yourself and have someone build it for you).Â
But with a budget of $500, this is what I would get and build myself:
Motherboard - make sure specific for AMD
CPUÂ - go AMD; cheaper than Intel
RAM - you need at least 4 GB, you don’t need more than 8 GB
HDD - you’ll want at least 500 GB, you don’t need more than 1 TB
PSU - you want more than 300W, you don’t need more than 600W
GPU - get 2Â GB dedicated
Subtotal:Â $499.94
You’re going to need a case, fans, thermal compund, and a heatsink (especially for AMD cpu’s) as well. Other optional things would be a card reader, optical drive, etc. And as far as OS, you can get Windows 7 for $99 (or free if you just torrent it).
As mentioned earlier, I totally suggest building it yourself. Newegg also has some combos which typically knock off $100 or so.Â
