It was stupid to think I could be happy. It was stupid of me to fall so deeply for a girl that clearly now couldn’t care less for me. It was stupid of me to have hope, to dream that we’d have something. Because you took something I was ready to entrust you with, and you broke it. You took it, broke it as easily as one could break an Oreo, and in that process, you’ve turned me into someone who will now shield their heart for fear of having it crushed again. And that makes me sad. But just know that you missed out on someone who would have stayed by your side, helping you as best they could. You missed out on having somebody who would do their damn best to make you happy, keep you company, love you with all their mind, body and soul. You missed out. And that makes me sad. And I don’t know why I’m writing this, thinking you’ll see it. You don’t care. And it was stupid of me to think you did.
