These little guys are actually harmless!! The scorpion like tail is the male genitalia (so another species with sexual dimorphism!!) and although they can eat insects they feed on the dead or sick ones

This beautiful coloration of this shield bug are a warning sign to the predators. Their defense tactic is to secrete a foul-smelling fluid!!

They use their flat heads as doors to their colonies! Not every ant of the species has this specific head and role.

Look at this adorable weevil and their pompom antennae!! They’re actually full of sensilla (hair lookalike sensory organ) so very sensitive pompoms

These little critters are pretty great fathers! They take care of the eggs and clean up nests. They’re also completely harmless!! (Maybe except the smell they can emit when threatened)
