I've only seen the AU in passing and from what friends have mentioned about it. It seems to have made quite a few of them very uncomfortable

And just from that, all I can really say is its concerning and those involved with it might want to reevaluate it a bit.

Extra note: from those who know more about it than myself.

There's a issue with the implication of being "feral". Because these are trains. Robots. And not domesticated animals. And also just the terminology and how they speak about it (especially in a public space) makes it seem like border line fetish content.

The issue with Rusty and his history as a character versus the au's treatment of him.
