thiam angst but it’s theo and liam who started dating a few months after the finale but everything was too much and liam was still barely getting over everything happened in war and theo had major issues and ptsd from his… well, from basically his entire life, so neither of them were in a place to be in a relationship. because how do you pack up being raised by mad scientists and being experimented on for years and going through hell?
you don’t. you kiss about it for like six months and hope for the best. and it was not a surprise that the strategy failed.
they still tried but they ended up actually not trying and not solving anything ever so they eventually broke up. they tried to stay friends but it was too hard to see each other and know that it didnt work between them so they drifted apart. theo left beacon hills, liam went away for college and built a life without theo.
but after.. like, two years, their paths crossed again because of some supernatural threat.
and they fell back in their old dynamic like they never left. they started orbiting each other again. now, they were both mentally better and naturally, they couldn’t help but fall in love again.
maybe they never fell out of love with each other anyway.
