you and i

“oh, i’m definitely out of it,” bellamy answers almost immediately, still craning her neck to look up at him – luckily still able to maintain her balance, barely. she’s pretty sure her words aren’t slurring at least. that’s definitely a good thing. “but,” she continues, her eyebrows drawing together slightly, “now i don’t know. i’m a little lost.” she doesn’t drink often, so maybe she should have been a little smarter about this, but she didn’t know what to expect. getting this turned around wasn’t what she had intended. 

                  “oh, please. it’s no problem at all.” chanmi, while not being a trained actress, had her fair share of needing to pretend to be in love with people. it was all part of the ( mutant ) job. “but i’ll definitely be cashing in the free coffee soon. i’ve got lots to do for finals week so i’ll need all the caffeine i can get.”

‘understandable. now don’t read too much into this.’ jaemin forewarns, although he’s sure she’ll know it was just him reading lines and not confessing. he pretends to cough, clearing out his throat.

“And if this goes beyond the promised time, it will be with free meals, alright?“ The corner of her lips curled in a kittenish smile but all in all, she was just pulling her legs. “Alright, shall we begin? I am ready whenever.“

jaemin holds the script in his right hand, the more dominant one. only pulling it down to give his companion one of his signature smiles. “fair enough.” he complies humorously. he picks up the script. looking at the scene intently before deciding which way to go with it. 

once the female reached the bathroom, she stopped for a moment to rub her cheeks as she sighed in frustration. simone really wants nothing more than to drag minho by his two feet and out of the apartment to some hospital. just because she isn’t as strong as him doesn’t mean she wouldn’t be afraid to do such thing. however, she’s also a bit too soft so no, she won’t pull a move like that despite her frustration over this topic. was it really that bad all she wanted was to make sure the lad was ok? maybe she was being a bit…how to word this, pushy over this? she will admit to that but it’s because she cares. it’s always small marks at first in most cases but what about in the future? what if it’s something more than little marks and coloring, what if-

the dark haired beauty pinched herself in the cheek as a way to scold herself but also to snap her thoughts from running wild. with a few mutterings under her breath about how this boy will be the end of her, she grabbed what she was looking for and headed back out the living room. stopping when she  heard minho’s voice. playing with the small tube in her hand as she listened to him only to sigh and tilt her head to the side, giving him an unnamed look “no promises i won’t try to attack you with a pillow if i see them” said simone while she made her way to sit next to him. 

minho uses the spare moment given by simone’s absence to inspect his injuries. lifting his shirt to pad the deep cut on his stomach with his finger tips. he winced, thinking how it’ll leave a deeper mark than he had  intended. this fight was worth the money. covering his monthly expenses and still left enough for other things he planned to do. sure it left him blooded and bruised and aching for weeks after but better that then to be hungry and without any money.  

perhaps the ointment wouldn’t be enough.  minho thinks internally to himself, watching as simone returns back with the medical stuff they needed. 

“fair enough. just warn me when the pillows coming my way, alright?” minho jokes lightly. taking the ointment gently from her hands. he lifts the his shirt once more revealing the cuts on his stomach. somehow, in the few minutes that passed since she had left they had gotten worse. more purple and bruised. blood dried up around the cut only making the physical damages worse.

 “not that bad huh.”
