When my daughter met her camp counselor on her very 1st day, she told him he looks like Chris Pratt’s character from Jurassic World so we’ve been calling him Owen since then. Today was “Owen’s” last day at camp, and I had to find a way to thank him for making such a huge impact on her during both of their time there. If you are a parent wanting to find creative/new ways to bond with your child, I urge you to contact your local shelter/humane society and see if you can volunteer together. My daughter and I started volunteering at the @utahhumane once a week and it has brought us even closer. We look forward to every week when we either get to read to the cats or hangout with/care for the smaller animals such as ferrets, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, hedge hog, and chinchilla.
