Ok i sound like a boomer washed unc but hear me out first ok?

especially if ur 10-14 year old ... omfg ... ?? I cant believe i need to make this post or say this but the amount of times i met and interacted with literal 7th GRADERS. Like im sorry but u need to go ASAP.

As someone who unfortunately spent most of my time online as a kid, this might be hypocritical to say but it deadass did harm than good for me personally. Yes even tho it was my queer awakening and i met some of my bestest of friends there, it still did so much harm to me.

The internet is a shitty place, where ever u are. The 3 main social media app, two of them is literally a breeding ground for toxicity (insta and X/twitter). Its filled to the brim with insufferable people who have 0 clue on basic decent human behaivour, filled with hate and dangerous ideas thats being presented in a very subliminal way that YOUNG KIDS could see and normalize it and pick it up and make it apart of their personality, do you see the problem ???? I could take a few examples like frisk x sans, that shit was WAYYY too normalized back then, im making myself as an example here bcs back then when i was 8 i deadass thought that shit was normal until like i was 12.

How do u expect to grow up mentally healthy (assuming you have no issues in ur personal life ex: family issues, bad enviroment, bullying etc) when you surround yourself with this much negativity? Dont be surprised when you cant or lack knowledge on how to int with ppl irl, because you have to know ur internet personality should not be mixed with ur irl personality, cuz sometimes we act so insufferable online without our knowledge (being used to ppl either agreeing with ur behaivour or if they dont like it they js scroll/block u, news flash block button doesnt exist irl). I know the internet is for a lot of us a place to run/escape from our lifes but when ur that young please limit yourself. Not all strangers have good intention and you never know whats behind the screen. Please just stay safe, maybe watch youtube gameplays or play mimecraft or something, dont consume anything coming from twitter or insta or threads or whatever shitty social medias ppl have these days.
