I got up from a nap one afternoon and ran to the gas station to get a snack. When I came back, my roommate told me he had been awakened by two uniformed officers who had opened my sliding glass door to my room and searched the house for my ex gf. She had no call/no show at a job and had used my address as her contact. Her employer called the police to do a welfare check at the house - seriously?? When they told him it was nice that the door was unlocked and they didn't have to breach it he said, "a very vigilant war veteran sleeps in the room y'all came in through, usually with a rifle by the bed and a 9mm under his pillow" Those guys were pretty fucking lucky the door was unlocked and that I wasn't there. If I heard them shuffling around outside and messing with the door handles I would have had that AR-15 up and at the high ready to fucking blow them away if they breached. I do not react well to armed men breaching the door to my bedroom. I react with lifesaving firepower. As for those 87,000 new IRS agents.... Good Luck. I hope they have their life insurance squared away.
