ANYWAY! Quincy lore!
Quincy is a 25 year old loser who lives in a wild west-esque small town where he often visits the local saloon. Most people there don't really like him because he's an annoying bastard who sucks at reading the room. He always tries very hard to seem cool and suave but he doesn't have it in him to actually charm anyone. He's very unlucky and often gets into fights while drunk. always losing.
Although Quincy often gets himself in trouble, he's a harmless guy who hides his yearning for love and appreciation behind a mask of false confidence. I love this trope in characters, sorry for using it on every other oc I make </3
One night, while he's out drinking. Something terrible happened. Quincy gets shot in the head. Now turned into a ghost, Quincy found himself stuck in the land between the world of the living and the dead.
Suddenly he came face to face with a demon. This demon offered Quincy a deal. In exchange for his soul, the demon could bring Quincy back to life. And because Quincy is a scared idiot who didn't want to die, he took the deal.
The next day he woke up on the street, bullet wound still in his head. because of the bullet, he had no memory of dying or anything from his deal with the demon. He had no idea anything happened at all. That evening he found himself back at the saloon again, but now people were staring at him like they'd seen a ghost.
Quincy hadn't noticed it yet, but he'd grown a pair of demon horns and a forked tail. A side effect from the demon's magic bringing him back to from the dead. He wasn't quite alive, his body was frozen in time at the exact moment of his death. His skin felt cold, and his wound wouldn't heal.
Any ordinary person would look at what they've become, less than human, and see this as a divine punishment. They'd regret their deal and they'd try to do anything to break this curse. But not Quincy, he found himself not really caring all that much about his new undead situation. He just went on with his life like he always had.
Who cared if the demon's curse made the flowers near him wilt, so what if the walls start to bleed in every room he enters? Quincy doesn't think its that big of a deal.

This guy is Pippin Leroux, he is about 28 and works at a flower shop. He's a shy and soft spoken guy who loves flowers, especially roses and bleeding hearts.
In his free time, Pippin is hard at work with science experiments. He's trying to use flowers to make a love potion.
Pippin is a big hopeless romantic who yearns for someone to love him, but he doesn't believe anyone could naturally love him the way he is. hence why he's trying to make a love potion.
He never actually gets close to succeeding in making a potion, and maybe he secretly doesn't want to. He's obsessed with the idea of love but the idea also kinda scares him. Making the potion is more of a way to keep himself busy and not have to think about what being loved would actually be like. He's working on it but he'll never get there.
Deep down he knows he can never make a real potion and it's just a way for him to put off trying to find a real connection with someone.
He likes the idea of being loved, but being that vulnerable with someone scares him.
