A small, cheerful howl escaped an aging muzzle. What seemed to be a cheeky grin spread across the lines of Nigou's lips, relishing the warm sunlight that streamed through the now open curtains. The azure-hued orbs were slightly closed at the sudden stream of light, but he didn't mind much. The little dust particles that floated and swung in the air freely felt so nostalgic.
Oh, how it reminded him of the mornings Nigou had spent with Kuroko, opening the curtain by the bed with his paws and claws. The canine reminded himself quietly on how he used to be mesmerized by the particles, visible only when under the sun's brilliance. He missed it, oh he did, indeed. But now, the teal-haired kindergarten teacher was no longer around.
'What a cruel world,' Raven colored ears would catch people say.
Feeble neck tilted up slightly, and ears picked up the familiar sound of bouncing balls coming from the square screen. Wild cheers reached the old dog, and black-white tail started to swish left and right, what seemed to be a longing look sparkled within Kuroko-esque eyes. Not long after, a whine escaped-- Nigou couldn't help but feel helpless-- he couldn't even stand up properly, couldn't even bark excitedly the way he used to--
'He didn't deserve to die like that,' Such whispers he'd hear left and right.
Seemingly anemic limbs tried to prop his whole weight up, wobbling ever so slightly as he prodded up to the TV. His eyes were unusually wide, and surges of emotions stormed into his heart, causing his trembling knees to drop themselves on the messy floor. Sitting in front of the flashing box, Nigou threw his head back and howled in a deep, melancholic tone. The pain, the desire, the longing, and the feeling of uselessness; everything was clumped together so agonizingly.
{ Master, master, will my wails be unheard? My friend, my light, my partner; the one who loved me unconditionally, the one who cared for me as if I were his own. Master, master, will my wails be unheard? I beg you, I beg you... come home soon. }
