How does Sirei talking in the JP version of Hundred Line?
Very military-coded. Jargon, presentation, and all. His functions as a war machine are at the front and center of his self-identity. But SIREI's cadence stands out from the typical because addresses his troops with friendly language instead of authoritarian language. I still didn't get enough SIREI content to know if he genuinely wants to be a chum buddy of the soldiers or if he only wants to look that way, but it shows not only in his character voice but also in his willingness to abide to the group's will often.
SIREI is one of the very few Kodaka characters who call everyone by their first names, and I feel like that's a point that stands out a lot for his "nasty sergeant ineffectively trying to insert himself in the friend circle" image. It also extra stands because the loc chose to do the complete opposite with him, but that's outside the scope of the question. Incidentally, NIGOU's character voice is the exact same even if their literal voice makes it across incredibly different.
In 2nd Scenario, it made me uncomfortable that 🏍️ shook off the fact that 🍅 called them slaves

Is there any chance you'd be willing to do a tutorial on the Sirei and Nigou miis? I love the two of them with my whole heart and I'd love to put them on my island!!! ;w; They both look really good
Thank you! I don't really have any detailed explanations for them, especially since it was sort of a spur of the moment thing (while procrastinating other stuff :') ).
Here are some screenshots of their face builds! I pretty much only used eyes, a mouth, and face paint. I don't have a stylus, so I just used my finger and the D pad. Some of the features I copied from Sirei to Nigou to make things easier. The only thing that turned out a little weird was Sireis eye shines. You can kinda see them when he closes his eyes (I was too lazy to fix them, but you could probably just scoot them up or down a bit).
Enjoy unleashing these freaks upon the world!,,, If you do end up making them or any variations of them, I'd love to see it! 👀
This is a very belated update, but when additional tickets went on sale for the Too Kyo Games event on February 22, I managed to grab a ticket for Part 2, so I will be attending! 🎉
I really wanted to go to Part 1 as well, but the extra tickets sold out almost instantly😢, and I was only able to secure the Part 2 ticket, which was my top priority. Still, I am incredibly happy and very excited! (,,>᎑<,,)
Part 2 is titled “Sound & Design,” and in addition to Kazutaka Kodaka, the speakers will include Masafumi Takada, Shimadoriru, and Yuki Kudo (who served as the event CG director for The Hundred Line and also wrote a post on the developer blog). There will also be a message from Rui Komatsuzaki. The main reason I prioritized getting a Part 2 ticket is because of that message from Komatsuzaki! Although he has appeared in a few interviews related to The Hundred Line, he rarely makes public appearances these days, so I am very curious about what he has to say.
As a special guest, Aka Akasaka, who created the original character concept and setting for TooKyo-chan, will also be on stage. I have known for a while that he and Kodaka are close, but I have no idea what he plans to talk about. I will try to take as many notes as possible during the event and post a report afterward. However, based on my past experience writing reports on real life events like this, they take quite a bit of time to prepare, so I probably will not be able to post it right away. (Moreover, my work schedule is likely to get busy for a while. 😭)
All attendees will receive an autograph from Kodaka as a special bonus, so at the very least, I will share a photo of that here as soon as I get home!
