And so recently we went to Gold Coast. 15-19 July 2017. Major LOVE for these 2 angels from Heaven. <3
Here's a little update of #amshome . This time with sunlight pouring in, and..... a new mirror from Cluster Cluster! Up till now im not sure if the colour scheme works or whether the furnitures compliment each other. But i know that i like it very much. And i like it neat. All the time. Its hard work sometimes when u r in no mood to do anything. But like a hobby, i try to make time for my new baby home ^_^
The glass men came this morning to finish up the last touches. Full length mirror in the "dining area" is done. Probably my second most fave place in the house. :P super awesome! I can so imagine doing zumba there! Wooohoooo! The shower glass is up... the mirror to the vanity is up too! Everything else in the house has been inspected and minor chips and scratches have been covered. Tomorrow Mak We will come to clean the ENTIRE house. And on sunday she shall begin painting. I feel uncomfortable at first asking her to do this job, but she was the one who assured us that she is really really really fine to do it. Im thinking... when shall i officially share my home to the public? And by public i mean IG /FB. Cos, lets be real, nobody reads my tumblr. Muahaha!
Pretty much the only updates for Monday, 3 Apr 2017. Super excited for the bathroom to be fully ready. Bathroom is so important to me. Everytime im really tired or in a bad mood, i have a gooooooood shower and then i came out a new woman. Hahaha! Hmmmmmm ... so many greys... so hard to choose... top 3 right here... which one will we choose? :P

Updates today~ Asyraf sacrificed his sleep (both of us on night shift) just so he could finish assembling our ikea furnitures. Awwww~ i love this guy! The shelves are up, except the ones in my vanity corner. They will do it on Monday. A lot has been done today. Heater is up. Black solid surface for master bath is up too. We're left with tv console, tv-console-wall wainscoting, all of which they will do on Monday. The mirror and master bath glass will be up on Thursday. I heard Mama and Papa dropped by and gave us presents. Awwwww~ i love these people. Saturday will be cleaning day. Sunday and Monday will be painting. Tuesday we will officially move in. We have 3 days to prep the house before Sofiyyah's 3rd bday party on Saturday-cum-doa selamat. Alhamdulillah everything is going smoothly. Can't wait!
Updates today. Chandelier up, living room fan up (altho there seem to be smtg wrong with the remote :( ) common bath light is up too. And thats about it. Such a slow process this week.
Eh….! sape tu?! 😛😍 i want another baby girl pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeeeee....
So we went to Khatib yesterday to move some of the big stuffs lying around in Yishun home. And to our pleasant surprise, the vinyl flooring is done! The name of the wood is "Africa Classic". It exudes this cosy and luxury feeling. Pictures here dont do justice. It actually looks nice. We really love it! And we love the bedroom floor too. Initially we opted for "Hevea Tropic" - a beige wood - cos the one we really wanted, which is this current one "Japanese Elm" was low in stock. But our reno guy misplaced his notes and we had to do second choosing. We chose Japanese Elm again even though we knew it is still low in stock and we had to wait one week. But then our reno guy pushed the vendor and paid in full so they gave us the priority. The kitchen counter top is done too! It shines under the light and love it. To my surprise the solid surface for our master bath vanity is of the wrong colour!!! Asyraf didnt realize until i pointed it out. I reminded him that we DID already chose a black solid surface for the vanity the socond time we chose the floor colour. The TV console is not up yet. There are a few chips and tear that they have to mend. We are left with mirror, vanity solid surface, fixing of fixtures and last but not least, painting. Most furnitures will arrive on April 10. My leave will start on April 9 until the 21st. We have arranged a date with our movers (aka my cousin hehe) im just waiting for the boxes to come and i'll start packing. Im super excited! Mcm bila free nak gi Khatib assemble all the ikea stuff. Heheh.
Yesterday we went to check on the houz. Its halfway there already! Im REALLY loving the kitchen cabinet. Although its quite different from what i initially imagined but this works too. The TV console is 5cm shorter than desired so it's going to be reconstructed. Asyraf was very very very picky and almost mengamok about it. I told him if the contractor adds another 5cm of empty wood at the side i wouldnt mind. But he wants them to do a new one so ok fine. And also I asked for all-glass doors but they did with frames and its not that appealing. Other than that everything went as planned. The bedroom wardrobe is GORGEOUS (i saw it fully ensembled this afternoon and its great!) One thing thats bothering is the depth of the power socket. Its too deep a length and turning on and off switches gonna be a chore! But thank God we got that rectified today so they are going to bring the power socket n switches forward and leave 200mm space from the edge. Awesome. Wainscoting is done! Hurraayyy! Although to be very very honest i didnt like it cos i imagined the top 'rectangle' was going to be longer, and the bottom shorter. But i let it passed. Once it was ready im like hmmmm its actually not that bad. So okay. Fine. We're targeting to have all carpentry done by this week. And nxt week we shall do the vinyl flooring and painting. The following week we shall move in insya Allah. Till then, Xoxo

So i went to Khatib for a quick visit while Sofiyyah was in school. The tile guy was there all alone doing his thing. Haha... Its was so funny... i arrived the first time and slowly made my way into the house... i got no response from him and i thought he knew i was there he just doesnt want to acknowledge. As i got closer to the master room toilet i saw "pants around the ankle" for a moment i thought that guy was naked! I got scared and went out to the lobby and enjoyed the windy weather for a good 15 minutes. I told myself 'u are wrong. No one do they heavy work of tiling naked! Kelakar or what?!' Then i went back to the house and true enough that guy wasnt naked. Phew. Bad thinking but thank God, you never know, you know. So im liking the common bathroom tile combination more now that they are almost done. However now i have some reservations regarding the master room tiles. They are mismatched now that i see the bigger picture. :/ but then again i didnt want an all-dark, all-black bathroom. I wanted a balance. Lets just wait for the end product and maybe its not so bad after all. From the start i was worried that the grout wont be covered. Like is this how it is? But i was wrong. The guy did a touch up on the grouts and now its all covered. He has yet to finish the common bathroom. I feel like going there again later.
I just got back from Khatib. Sofiyyah and I took Grab and thanks to the current promo our rides cost $2!!! So here's the latest updates on our house. The tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms are up! I can't wait for the wet works to finish, cos only then they will start with the carpentry for kitchen, tv console and bedroom, and afterwards followed by vinyl flooring, wainscoting, and then painting. Alhamdulillah so far so good everything's on track. ;)

A quick update! Yesterday we told our reno guy that we are thinking of using their vinyl floor services. He gave a quotation on the spot which includes change of skirting. We thought about it. Actually its hard letting go of my dream Tarkett Retro Indigo floor (1st pic) but as we put together the designs in our head, we thought that it might be "too much". And so today we went back to their workshop and chose the designs. I thought this would take 10 mins. But we spent 1 hour deciding on the floor and tv console. But all in all it was a good choice, i think. I really hope the house will turn out nice. Hopefully.
