Its been so great to have to have these girlscouts make #periodpovertyawareness their Silver Award project! in 2021 they helped make hundreds of period kits,distribute to the @nvcsinc food pantry, and last week, came and gave out kits at @nvcsinc @oikos_445 @sistersonthestreets Holiday Motel outreach to families in transitional housing. Today @nvcsinc , I was able to help a single mother in need of hygiene items. She lived in a motel with her baby for over a year, and was able to pull herself up, get child care, and get a full time job, and an apartment. But with one income and rent so high it's still a struggle. Some women are faced with choices of buying diapers for their child or feminine hygiene. Todays Homeless Conmect Day was @freedomchurch in chatsworth! We were able to provide basic need items i.e. clothing, shoes , blankets, sleeping bags, pads and tampons,underwear, bras, adult diapers, and hygiene as well to over 100 people!
