so, I'm reading 2.8 story rn and I wanna say, that I see clear parallels between Anby and Billy, and it made me think about cunning hares dynamic.
Anby in her S-rank version and it's plot goes back to her past, grows as a person but never get's the courage to permanently resolve her conflict with Solider 11 and move to the future, so she's metaphorically stuck in her past, but now has a chance to get out of it if she finally finds power to.
Billy, on the other hand is looking into the future. he is afraid of his past, afraid to go back to the machine he was, so his new form is who he wants to be. a person who saves, not a person who kills. he, unlike Anby, has courage to move forward, but not to move on, yet he still made an upgrade that brought back a portion of his old power. he now has a chance to face his past, if he'll be able to get himself to do it.
Nicole in this relationship is the present(well, I think so). she got these two from literally FUCK knows where(well, with Anby we know from where...) just cuz they cool they can work, made literal war machines into her bitches, knows everyone and everywhere and really sells off the vibe of "live in today" type of person with colossal debt. she helped Nekomata, who was seeking revenge for the past, and is a glue that keeps cunning hares together. I'm waiting for her S-rank version SO HARD it will be banger I believe
