Also where are the motorbike posters with the women in bikinis? Would like to see. (Side note - Sirius was 100% interested in the bikes not the women - we all know why... *cough cough* Remus *cough cough*)

Sirius would definitely have a bike in his room for just no reason

Remus was walking down the stairs when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Sirius, grinning.

“Yes Sirius?”

He didn’t know Sirius that well yet, they had been hanging out for a few months with James and Peter, two of Sirius’ friends, but that was it. Sirius was still grinning when he said:

“My mother died.”

Remus didn’t know what to do. Why was he grinning like that when his mother died?

“Oh, I’m.. I’m very sorry for you Sirius, answered Remus uncomfortably.

-Don’t you worry about that, I am actually very happy about it. Finally dead, this old bat.”

Remus understood that Sirius didn’t really get on with his mother, but he didn’t know that he hated her that much. He was really surprised.

“I’m sorry if this is a bit personal, but what happened exactly between your mother and you?”, he asked. Sirius’ look got a bit colder.

“-She was a bad mother, she basically hated me.

-But… Why?” Remus couldn’t imagine a parent hating their child, and even less without any reason. Sirius shrugged.

“I didn’t agree with her ideas. She was a racist woman, she hated muggle borns and half-bloods. And when I told her I was gay, she nearly killed me.” 

As Sirius said that, it was clear to Remus that he tried to appear as detached from the situation as possible, but that he was actually deeply hurt. Also..;

“Wait, you’re gay?” 

Sirius smiled a bit.

“Aren’t you?” was his response. 

sirius: so how is hogwarts’ prettiest boy doing today?

remus: (not looking up from his book) i don’t know, how are you?

sirius: 

I think this is a really understated, important moment. Because they’re talking about the guy who (they think) betrayed and killed Remus’s best friends, and Remus is still cautioning mercy. He’s still saying, “there are things that aren’t okay to do to anyone, no matter what.”

Flash forward to Harry in the last book standing in front of Voldemort and telling him to “try for some remorse.” Not telling him to go fuck himself. Giving him advice to try to save his soul. Recognizing that there is nothing noble or good about denying a person, no matter how horrible that person is, their last chance at humanity.
