cansecos:
it’s well past midnight and most of his friends are sound asleep, having given in to the exhaustion of traveling. all but noah. he’s lounging under the moonlight, at the edge of the pool, with the water lapping at his calves. it’s so still, so quiet that her whisper is a burst of sound. he glances over his shoulder and sees her. sirena. he allows himself this moment to drink her in, to sweep his gaze along her, cataloging all the subtle changes since the last time she saw her. he flashes her his dimples and dips his head in a nod. “yeah.” with her creased pyjamas and messy hair, she looks fresh out of bed. “can’t sleep?”
the minute his eyes gaze upon her, she quickly regrets not turning around and heading back inside. despite everything they’ve been through, despite how in love she was with luca, his eyes still made her breath catch in the back of her throat, rendering her speechless for a few seconds. instead she simply nods her head and makes her way over to him, thankful that she’s wearing pajama shorts so she can easily sink her own legs into the cool pool. “you think i’d be used to sleeping in different places all over the world, but it still messes with me sometimes,” she teases with a shrug of her shoulders. “how was your first day in greece?”
