Apparently, Xir was trying to teach Lady how to shoot his gun and didn't take into account that it's not built for baseline humans.... And well...

I was trying to get a picture of them going over the basics of proper handling when Lady accidentally pulled the trigger...

The recoil was strong enough to throw her back to the edge of the bed but thankfully she didn't fall over.

I checked her over and aside from the scare, Lady's fine and just needs to lay down for a while.

Xir hasn't stopped apologizing.

I confiscated his gun and put it away next to his jetpack (which was also confiscated due to another unrelated incident last year)

He's still doing fine, nothing real exciting on the medical front, but he's not too happy about the new that's he's gonna have to keep the cast on for longer.

The Apothecary is gonna be out for a few days now, left earlier this morning to go see his other patient. Meanwhile Big Blue has just been chilling with the cat.

Giving her head scratches along with a neck massage? Can't really tell what he's trying to do lol.

Yeah it was feeding time so she ran as soon as someone started opening a can.

Anyways, besides pestering the cat (she doesn't mind don't worry) he's also been getting interested in sports! I tried explaining to him what the World Cup is and how important it is, but I don't think he really understood what I was saying.

Nonetheless, he's still interested!

He brought his lil moose to watch the game with him. 🥺

Also, no information on the Sons of Horus, I've been keeping an eye out for them, so don't you worry.

Sorry for the lack of updates the other day, I was very busy and forgot to post! Besides taking care of Big Blue (That's his name until I know what to actually call him) I had to deal with a few more Astartes both wild and domesticated.

Saw this little guy peering into the house and thought BB would like to take a look, they both stared at each other before the Son of Horus got aggressive and started poking at the window with his sword. Luckily it didn't leave any marks, I was able to scare him off before anything serious could have been done. (He had a Bolter on him so he could have put holes in the sliding door)

Besides that though, BB's left arm has been healing pretty well! He's able to hold and pick up stuff now!

Now I'm just assuming what happened since I don't speak High Gothic/Latin, but after he was told he could use his arm again, he picked up the Apothecary and gave him a big hug. You can see him trying to get me to make him stop lol.

After that though, it was time to do his favorite activity: Pestering the cat! She doesn't really seem to mind all that, but I'm still gonna call it it that.

Besides that, not really much else happened. We wanted to watch the game but the TV wasn't working. He was being a gentleman trying to turn it on, but he couldn't figure out how.

We have two remotes, one turns on the TV, the other switches through the channels. We got it from our uncle a couple months back which is why we have the two of them.

Also you may have noticed, but we got him some plushies! A T-Rex and Canadian Moose.

Out of the two I think he likes the moose the most.

And before you ask, this is not coming out of the weed-whacker fund, we found these on clearance while doing some grocery shopping and decided to pick them up!

He's been doing better! He's mostly been resting in the little bed area I've made for him on the couch, but besides that he's also been doing some exploring! (Also apologies for the blurry photo, my cat startled me as I took the photo)

Mostly he's been asked to be picked up and moved to the window. He misses his brothers a lot and has been asking to check ever couple of hours. Poor guy must be worried sick, and I can't imagine what his brothers must be thinking.

Hopefully though, he can get back to the great out doors. Doctor said he's gonna need the cast for a week or more before he's fully healed. Apparently since his arm was ripped off so violently it's gonna take a lot longer to heal than it normally would for a Space Marine.

We've also been doing some bonding as well, looked it up online and since he's a Veteran (according to the sources) he won't grow too attached to me, so figured I might as well get to hang out with the little guy while he stays in my place.

Other than that, the Apothecary is doing daily check-ups on him, haven't been able to catch it on tape yet but hopefully for the next few update posts I can.

SO I PANICKED CALLED MY LOCAL ANIMAL CARE CENTRE AND THEY TOLD ME TO LEAVE HIM THERE???????????? THEY SAID THEY WERE SENDING A SPECIALIST OVER TO HELP BUT IM SO WORRIED LOOK AT HIM

HE HASNT MOVED SINCE I FOUND HIM AND ITS BEEN A FEW MINUTES IM SO WORRIED

THEY SENT A SPACE MARINE???????? IT DOESNT MATTER HE LOOKS LIKE A DOCTOR

HES SO SLOW DUDE

WHY IS HE STARING AT ME??????? DOES HE WANT ME TO PICK HIM UPPP????

(out of character, don't mind the old pillow case or sweater, my cat likes to sleep on them so we keep them on the couch)

Okay, now that things have calmed down I can finally give some proper updates! The Victrix is awake and doing okay, not great but not bad either.

The Apothecary was able to reattach his arm, though he had a tougher time since he's not used to working on marines as large as Big Blue over here. (I couldn't understand what he was saying but it didn't sound very positive)

They're both speaking in High Gothic, so I can't really tell what they're saying but from what I could gather, he's telling the Victrix to rest and not to use his left arm very much.

So, I guess I'm gonna be taking care of him until he's ready to go back into the wild. Hopefully the Doctor is okay with me keeping him on the couch for now, until I can get him a proper place to sleep.

So expect to see a lot more of this guy around!

I'm doing good! Right now I'm cleaning the house and saving up for a weed-whacker to help take care of the backyard.

I'm also gonna try and figure out what's going on with the Victrix and Justaerin, he's a big guy and can take care of himself, but I'm still worried for him.

As for now, though, I'm working on a really big post for the blog! My friend @m3ll0m0chi is gonna help out once they have the time too, though that may not be for a while since they're a part of Artfight!

So yeah, pretty busy!

Okay, for those of you following my blog for the past couple of weeks know that I've been having an influx of Astartes inhabiting my overgrown backyard.

Well the overgrown part is soon to be taken care of! I'm saving up for a week-whacker to help deal with the tall grass and a pair of gardening gloves to uproot the weeds. (and the couches are also gonna be taken care of, don't worry)

But I'm getting sidetracked, back to the important info. I was sitting in my family room watching the Soccer/Football game with my family when I kept hearing loud clanging sounds coming from outside, along with some metallic sounding grunting.

I step outside and saw this!

Yeah I couldn't really tell much from that angle, so I moved a bit to the side and started to record. (Although the footage came out corrupted, so enjoy the stills from said video instead)

The Justaerin and Victrix Guard with the special cape were fighting! The two little guys were watching from atop the couch.

As the Justaerin brings his axe down into the Ultramarine's shield you can see right behind, the rest of their herd group appears to aid him in the fight...

The four of them swarm the Son of Horus while the special-cape guy stands aside.

They've picked him up!

And just like that, they're gone! They were quick, even while carrying a behemoth like the Justaerin.

It all happened so fast I was surprised I managed to catch it on film, or well, stills.

You can see the two on the couch, getting ready to leave and follow after them.

I didn't catch it on camera as I was called back in to watch the game, but the two went down the same hole the Blood Angels escaped earlier and out the side of the couch.
