Superman’s sheer anger over Billy Batson’s situation is a sight to behold. Batman and Robin get away with it because he knows it’s the world’s best internship and that Bruce is willing to put out all the stops to protect him. But Billy? He doesn’t have anyone looking out for him. And that pisses off Superman more than anything.

Next page he really lets the Wizard Shazam have it.

i read this comic last night and i think it’s the best i’ve ever seen from superman as a character, it was so well done

If there’s one thing I like about Superman, it’s his dynamic with Billy Batson/Shazam. In some incarnations, Billy looks up to Superman as a hero, an icon. When he gets the power of Shazam, the very first thing he thinks is… “Wow! I can be like Superman!” And he does it! He actually goes out and tries to be like his personal hero! In those rare times Billy actually has to fight Superman, he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t want to hurt him because Superman is the reason he wanted to be a superhero in the first place. This comic however, is a great example of a dynamic we hardly see, where Superman is the mentor figure to young Billy, and I love that.

I went to a Q&A seminar with Antoni and Karamo and they told us that at Queer Eye auditions Jonathan literally ran from room to room yelling “WHERE IS SHE” over and over again and while everyone assumed it was about the casting director or something it was, in fact, about a Starbucks cup he’d lost, and I need you all to know that Jonathan lives on maximum 24/7. He is a force that cannot be contained
