So, my Limbus Company OC Jesus was recently deleted from @artfight for supposedly being "directly based on a real person"

Now, I want to specify that Jesus is not directly based on Jesus of Nazareth (who did exist). Yes, he is inspired by the Biblical depiction of Jesus, but is explicitly not the same person as the real life guy. He has his own original story, and in fact a key part of that story is that he is NOT provably actually THE Jesus of Nazareth, that is simply the role he was pushed into. This is made clear on his toyhou.se page. Also, I do not say this to act all smug atheist or to disrespect anyone's religion, but while historians agree that there was A Jesus of Nazareth, there is no concrete proof that The Bible is an accurate depiction of his life. As such, in this case we must treat The Bible's account of Jesus' life as a fictionalized version of events. In other words, my character is based on a fictionalized version of a real person, rather than the real person himself. Put a pin in that for now.

I messaged a mod to appeal the decision, and made the above extremely clear, but was rejected. The conversation is below. I have opted to redact the name of the mod I was in contact with so as not to direct any negative attention their way.

So why are they still allowed on the site when my character wasn't? If one isn't allowed, it seems pretty clear cut that the other wouldn't be either.

I did message the admin account, but honestly I doubt I'll get an answer at all, and if I do it will likely just be a copypaste of what the mod told me.

I'd also like to point out that this is extremely unprofessional handling of the situation on @artfight's part. They gave me false information in the original on-site message by saying religious based OCs are not allowed, and then randomly corrected it later AFTER I pointed out it's hypocritical to only allow some religious figures but not others. If I didn't have such utmost trust in @artfight staff's integrity, I might almost be led to believe they were making rules (or more specifically, rule definitions) up on the spot. But I digress.

So my question to @artfight is, when are you going to start deleting every single Bungou Stray Dogs OC based on real life authors? What about BSD CBCs? A CBC of Osamu Dazai, for example, is just as much "directly based on a real person" as my Jesus OC, so why is one of those fine but not the other?

And hell, what about all the fictional characters based on real people? Authors basing their characters on real life historical figures or even people they personally know is a very well-documented phenomenon. "Based on real people to any extent" would include Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Count Dracula, Faust, Macbeth, just to name a few popular ones, but there are countless more examples. @artfight is saying that any and all characters based on those characters (or any other characters that are, no matter how loosely, based on real people) wouldn't be allowed on @artfight, because they're "based on real people"

At least, I'm assuming that is what this ruling means. Because anything else would be blatantly hypocritical and unfair, and of course @artfight staff would never enforce their rules unequally, right? Surely @artfight rules must apply the same to everyone.
