I’m considering becoming more active in posting— don’t bet on it though! I am both anxious and cowardly in manner, bad combo. I know.

I imagine Nightmare as being very good at taking care of injuries, as he would've had to deal with his own often as a child— especially since he wanted to hide his injuries from his brother and lying can't always work. it would also explain how he manages to keep people like Killer alive.
I originally drew this in ball point pen, and liked it so much I just kept that look.
The comic is going great so far, I think for what I'm trying to achieve I'll need to make 10 pages- maybe more. Though even that is just a cut off point, I have enough ideas to keep going up to even the apple incident.
For now I just want to focus on Nim as a character and give her a more interesting motivation for becoming a mother or at least more in line with the themes I'm going for. The main crux of her character is her detachment/apathy and I am trying to write her in ways to demonstrate that characteristic while allowing her to attempt to develop.
Here's what the current plan/a plot overview of what I currently have in the works (call it spoilers if you'd like.);

I hate heatwaves.
Yay! I have 4 pages storyboarded for the comic, the hard part seems to be over now so I'll be able to alot more pages storyboarded sooner then later now!
I learned how to render metal for this.
I haven’t drawn a proper full body in a while.

I’ve occasionally thought about how the twins would be familiar with how real night skies look like unlike the majority of everyone else, also I just wanted to draw a nice sky.
Turns out I really like trying to do environments and landscapes, I drew it too tiny so I tried upscaling. I drew the apples way too big but whatever, this was mainly a test of my current abilities. Perhaps next time I’ll try a more woodland interpretation with more trees instead of a large clearing. Dream is there for scale.
I decided to just delete everything else that I've posted as that's what I've been tempted to do for a while. It's a bad bullet to bite but I needed to bite it.
I haven’t posted in a while and that has certainly been because of underlying insecurities surrounding my art and communication skills (I don’t just mean socially but artistically as well.) It’s honestly frustrating that being aware of perfectionism doesn’t make it much easier to avoid the tendency to nitpick and worry about flaws, I really wish that was the case. I could try to acknowledge that other people post art that if it was something I made I wouldn’t have posted it and try to get myself to get over it because I know they are things that I enjoy that aren’t perfect but it’s not that easy.
Lately I have been working on fundamentals in hopes that practice will help me feel better about my art and make me “good enough” by my standards, I suppose it’s helping to an extent; in fact I can tell that I am learning something and I’m demonstrating a good sense of color even with these basic exercises but it’s also giving me an excuse to avoid working on and making what I truly want to I.e skeletons. (You know what fandom I’m in)
I will be letting myself post more from now on.
