Sometimes I remember that you can do literally anything you want with 3D printing...

Even if it's really, really dumb.

The Radiance’s scars are so deeply settled in the Hollow Knights mind that even Grimm can’t easily break them out of these nightmares without a fight.

but it’s not like thats too much of a chore for Grimm

Wow, ok. Call me out.  

I usually just call it grollow, but grimmollow sounds funny, I like it. 

When I started shipping it if I did: 

Honestly? I was very reluctant of the ship at first, I really didn’t understand why these two characters that had never interacted nor had anything apparently in common were being shipped. 

But then I started seeing cute art and fics and it won me over. Now I just want even more grollow content. 

My thoughts:  

Grimm and Hollow complement each other so well... Hollow is this really gentle, caring and polite bug who is honestly very clueless at what actually living and not being just used as a tool is and they need to learn to love themself and be more shameless. That and Hollow being constantly plagued by horrible nightmares and Grimm being there to help them through it all. 

Grimm is also polite, but he’s also a bit of a chaotic bug who is really outgoing and unapologetic about anything he does. But I feel he is also kind of a troublemaker, in a way? And also, really care less about his own wellbeing?  

And they just take care of each other and help each other learn to better themselves and oughghgh. 

What makes me happy about them: 

I think I should have saved some from last question for this one, but I just really feel like these two are really good for each other and the fact of them both being relatively immortal (Yes, I hc Hollow as immortal by normal means. You can kill them but, like, good fucking luck) means they can both be there for each other forever. 

What makes me sad about them: 

Grimm is a very busy higher being, running a travelling troupe, he doesn’t get to be as much time in Hallownest as he would like to, so it usually leads to large amounts of time they can’t be with each other. 

Furthermore, the endless cycle of death and rebirth that Grimm has to go through to continue living will never not hurt Hollow. 

And, in all honesty, Hollow is probably never going to fully heal mentally and there will always be constant struggles of Hollow never thinking himself worthy of him and the fear that, someday, he’s just going to leave and never come back. 

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: 

I honestly only recently got into this ship and, being a slow reader, haven’t really read that much. But those takes of Grimm just being like? A piece of shit to everyone really annoy me.  

I do wish to find some more slow burn ones because I’ve read a few that are “Grimm fell in love at first sight,” which is valid, but not my thing. 

Things I look for in fanfic: 

Honestly, just really soft and fluffy stuff. I remember reading a drabble here, I don’t remember by who, of Grimm offering to tend to Hollow’s wounds shortly after the end of the infection, and I loved that so much. 

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

Honestly? Grimm can go well with a lot of people. I’ve seen some Grimm/Herrah floating around, which is, genuinely, a pretty interesting take. 

As for Hollow, I’m not really sure? I haven’t really seen much of Hollow with anyone else, and what I have, that I can remember off the top of my head, is... not great. I think I once saw some art of Hollow with a boss from Silksong who we don’t have a name for yet, and I thought it was cute, but not much else. 

My happily ever after for them: 

I’m going to be very self-indulgent here. 

The Nightmare Heart stabilizes in a way that no longer requires Grimm to have to be reborn every so often and the troupe settles for being stationary in Hallownest.  

Grimm and Hollow have a little home in dirtmouth, close by, or maybe even shared with their siblings and they can spend as much time as they want with each other. 

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: 

Grimm is one of the tallest bugs in Hallownest, but Hollow is still considerably bigger, so Hollow’s big spoon and Grimm little spoon.
