To be honest, he tries not to think too deeply about the incident, particularly when he’s not entirely proud of what he had to say to get her to move. For once, he was thankful for the Mist’s ability to muddle memories, even it wasn’t ideal. Resting a hand on his hip, Kamui exhaled a little as he struggled to put his thoughts to words, seeing as he’d tried not to spare too much of his mind in regards to that....incident.

“The Mist really screws with people’s heads, so I try not to take anything personally or give it too much credibility...but it was unsettling. Every corner I turned, every room I went into--She was there, and giggling that she would always be watching me. So no, I didn’t exactly feel all that flattered.”

Does he sound too harsh? He’s never all that certain, he knows Chiyo and the others have gotten on his case before about it--But the Pactbearer didn’t want to lie. The Mist brought out the worst in people, whether they knew it or not, and whether it was their true nature remained to be seen. The Unsettled didn’t act on logic or their usual set of values and morals--They were driven mad, and thus committed acts they normally wouldn’t.

“She wasn’t really in her right mind though, so I haven’t thought too much about it. Toshiko-san doesn’t remember either, so it worked out in the end.”

There’s very little that Kamui recalls, mainly just his name and a few likes and dislikes here and there by coincidence. However, he’s fairly certain he never really quite ever contemplated the thought of putting his life in danger, or the idea of murder. It is in this moment, a minor one amidst all the chaos he’s had to endure so far and in all honesty insignificant--That the Pactbearer finds himself considering all of the above.

After all the things he’s had to do and put up with within just the past week alone, he can’t even get a single can of soda out of a vending machine. As if to mock him, the damn thing got stuck as it was falling in between the plastic display and the rack behind it. To make things worse, he can hear the familiar low tone of his ever death-seeking lovable Monark.

Inhaling slowly, Kamui finds himself strongly considering death as he comes to realize that was his last 100 yen coin. He considered himself to be a very patient man, despite all things considered even if the tolerance he’d shown within the 1st Year Building was the bare minimum--But at this very moment, there’s nothing in his reserves to stop him from grabbing the black rabbit by the ears, hard enough that you can hear fabric crunching.

Hey there, Kaerene here--Are you a fan of SMT content? I bring to you from the makers of SMT, the game M.onark’s protagonist under the name Fujisaki Kamui. He’s pretty dry humored and might be a jerk every so often, but he’s got a heart of gold and just a sprinkling of pettiness when he feels wronged.
