I love taking screenshots in any game where the character is in motion— jumping, falling, or running.

But I really feel for those Eden cultists: after smacking me with a rifle butt, they’re forced to watch me sprint off into the woods just so I can check the shot again — and if I don’t like what I see, they have to hit me all over again. It’s like a silly repetition or an attempt to defuse the threat to the film — something that doesn't work on the first try.

Yes, John, I don’t give a shit about your chest-skinning knife. You got anything nastier? No, Jacob, your music box works perfectly fine; I’m just a total nut for a beautiful angle.

Drawing has become harder since I got this new computer. All my drivers crashed, the mapping of the pen area on the tablet got messed up, and I lost my files, sketches, and drawings. Instead of a small laptop screen, I’m now facing a screen that’s twice the size.

I’m crying, feeling as though I’ve never drawn on a tablet before—even though I’ve spent seven years learning how to do it.

It feels like I’ve been thrown right back to square one and forced to start all over again. My fingers are trembling. The linework is coming out crooked. The stylus seems to have a mind of its own, veering off in the wrong direction across the canvas.

I feel like nothing is going to work out for me now.

That’s pretty much how I feel after winning a game of Gwent where the NPC rewards me with a measly 50 crowns and a "Torrential Rain" card—something I have absolutely no use for. Because I've had it from the very beginning.

Solar Embrace is an annual Destiny Zine available as a public, free-to-download PDF on August 15th.

In the spirit of the event, there are no applications. Simply submit your finished piece(s) to our email and we'll take care of the rest!

Contributors may submit one or more summer-themed pieces showcasing any or all of their favorite NPCs, OCs, portraits, scenes, or environments from the game.

We encourage all forms of art: traditional, digital, cosplay, music and writing. EVERYONE is welcome to join the fun!

Please remember, YOUR WORK MUST BE RATED T FOR TEEN. This is for the entire Destiny community after all.

NO FORM OF GENAI IS ALLOWED.

FORMAT

Portrait pieces must be in A4 (2480x3508 pixels).

Landscape pieces must be in A3 (3508x4941 pixels).

Written works have a text background provided. Please use this and submit in an image posting. Feel free to send us a Google Doc link and we'll adjust it for you! If posting on AO3, use the event tag! Contact us for help.

I finally got my new gaming computer.

I cleared out all the unnecessary files from my old laptop.

And along with that, I deleted all my sketches and finished works featuring Gerda.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. This game, which I spent 5 years playing, took me through a lot, it gave me a new gaming experience, genuine emotions, and even a loved one. It was an incredible adventure, full of new mechanics and people in raids, difficulty levels and challenges. It was fun, awesome, emotional, and unforgettable. But I don't feel empty, because in a way I was ready for it and just seemed to be waiting for this moment. I will love this game with all my heart, and I will love the time I have devoted to its art, stories, and role-playing games. I will love the time I spent in it and which I will probably spend in the upcoming update. Unfortunately, the end has been reached at the moment, and it is unlikely that anything can be changed now.

So, now that time has passed. I have to mention that when my dad suffered a stroke he initially didn't want to go to the hospital because he thought he was suffering a retinal detachment "and it wasn't that serious"

And I should be mad, but I once broke my wrist but refused to go to the doctor because I thought I had dislocated my fingers.

So I guess I now know who I got it from.

I'm the same way. Once, when I was in school, I was pushed off the horizontal bar, landing on my outstretched hand, palm down, and the pain went down to my wrist. I thought the pain would soon subside, waited a couple of days, didn't tell my parents, and just endured it, and then it turned out I had a fracture. I was about thirteen years old, and the doctor called my fracture "fresh." I said, "It can't be fresh; I didn't keep my hand in the refrigerator." My grandmother laughed out loud. They also put the cast on me incorrectly, and so when I accidentally unraveled the bandages and my dad started re-wrapping it, the cast simply flew off my arm and fell to the floor with a clatter. With a slight twist of my hand, I simply shoved my broken limb back into it…
