Whumpee can't swallow normal food. So Caretaker pays attention to prepare soft/liquid food that is seasoned well and tastes different everyday.
Changing the bandages, doing the laundry, cleaning Whumpee's room, helping them change clothes, fixing the pillow for them.
Caretaker wears single earphone while sleeping to set some alarms at night and to not wake anyone else. He wakes up, quietly comes by Whumpee's room to make sure they sleep calmly and don't need any medical help. (Whumpee's recovering after some serious injuiry)
"Not only I love you. I also LIKE you. I like your personality, your sense of humor, I like the stories you are telling, I like being around you. So don't worry, you're not bothering me"
"Woah, you MADE this by yourself? That's incredible! How did you make it? Can I keep it?"
"You worked really hard today. Great job, I mean it. For sure you must be tired"
"Ugly? There's nothing ugly in you. Actually... I'm sincerely proud you decided to wear this. You don't have to be ashamed of your scars. I love you whole"
I really need to go to my office and fill my paperwork now... But hey, come with me! We can order a pizza at the place, what about that?
Whumpee doesn't like the touch and/or can't talk. So Caretaker just stays around, reading a book in silence, letting them know they're not alone.
C: "Tell me, what's wrong?" W: "Oh, it's... kind of complicated..." C: "That's okay, we have time. We can figure it out together"
Making sure Whumpee always has something to distract them. Coming up with ideas how to spend time together (movie night, baking cookies, board games)
Cuddling while falling asleep/Letting Whumpee put their head on Caretaker's lap
Warming Whumpee up by hugging them under Caretaker's coat, rubbibg their hands and arms. Hiding Whumpee's hands in Caretaker's pockets.
Head massage, Whumpee's absolutelly melting under the touch.
Whumpee's legs are hurt/still recovering. So Caretaker lets Whumpee hold their arm while walking on the stairs.
Whumpee's blind. So Caretaker pays attention to speak every time they are entering the room or going to touch them, so they don't get startled.
Whumpee's having an anxiety attack. Caretaker makes them sit down, kneels before them and cups Whumpee's face in their hands gently to calm Whumpee down.
Caretaker gives Whumpee their clothes to change, but those are way too big, so Caretaker buys/sews some new. (Whumpee still prefers Caretaker's because those somehow make them feel safe)
Whumpee's not used to sleeping on bed. So Caretaker brings them the fluffiest blankets, plushies and lot of pillows to make them feel secure and comfy.
They live on their own and Whumpee's still at bad shape, so Caretaker earns for them/hunts for them to provide them with food. Caretaker's happy to spend the earned money on little gifts for Whumpee.
"No occasion, really. I just remember you told me you always wanted to have one so here you go"
