Whether it be a tree in an open field, the color of one’s childhood bedroom, the streets of New York City, a woman’s physique, costumes of the theater, or an intriguing conversation - being present is imperative to not overlook the opportunities that lie in front of you and the inspiration that could potentially be the catalyst of a new adventure. John Galliano declared, “You only get a short life, so take chances.” I’m aware that my most powerful memories are the moments I have fully embraced, whether they be a challenging obstacle or an achievement, a devastating moment or a celebration, laughter or tears. Without awareness, my life would lack depth and fulfilment.
