hi sorry if this sounds stupid. i've been spending a lot of time researching hanfu over the last few years (partly out of passion & interest and partly for research for my stories) but it has been very difficult to find what kinds of clothes peasants or poor people would wear, especially since my chinese skills are barely existent. is there anything you could tell me about or link to what peasant men, women, and children would wear? thank you so so much for your time. i love your blog so much!

Like you said, it’s relatively difficult to find information specifically on the kind of hanfu poorer people would wear, even in Chinese, because most hanfu research is focused on the clothing of the upper class.
