𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐘  𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓  𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐄  𝐓𝐎  𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐄  𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍  𝐎𝐍  𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓  ––––––  the  other  kneecap  shatters  under  a  powerful  swing  of  her  bat  before  it  rests  against  her  shoulder  ,  a  proud  expression  harley’s  face  as  their  captive  lets  a  few  tears  fall  .  “  oh  come  on  !  i’ve  been  in  your  position  before  ,  pal  –––––  and  let  me  tell  you  ,  i  did  not  cry  .  but  if  you  keep  us  waiting  then  i  am  really  going  to  give  you  something  to  cry  about  .  ”  lips  pucker  to  send  a  kiss  in  his  direction  before  she  turns  towards  yelena  ,  brows  raising  at  the  car  keys  dangling  from  her  fingers  .  “  a  benz  ?  sounds  like  my  kind  of  ride  .  maybe  we  should  check  it  out  and  see  what  he’s  keeping  locked  up  in  there  .  ”

“  𝐈  𝐂𝐀𝐍’𝐓  𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓  𝐘𝐎𝐔’𝐑𝐄  𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇  𝐀𝐍  𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍  !  it’s  very  hard  not  to  wanna  pick  apart  that  brain  of  yours  ,  buckaroo  .  ”  around  them  is  complete  chaos  as  the  club  is  under  fire  from  enemies  of  the  joker  .  but  despite  the  whizzing  bullets  and  explosions  all  harley  wants  is  to  continue  the  conversation  from  before  they  were  so  rudely  interrupted  .  she  twirls  a  gun  around  as  they  take  cover  behind  the  main  stage  of  the  club  ,  all  eyes  on  him  as  joker’s  maniacal  laugh  rings  through  the  space  .  “  now  like  i  was  saying  ––––––  it  makes  sense  being  called  the  winter  soldier  ,  what  with  winter  getting  dark  so  early  !  but  if  you  ask  me  i  think  you’re  more  of  a  spring  with  peepers  like  those  .  ”

𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃  𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒  𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒  ,  letting  it  overpower  their  conversation  though  it  doesn’t  for  long  .  he  has  plenty  to  say  on  the  matter  ,  perhaps  a  better  time  and  place  but  it  is  on  the  forefront  of  his  mind  now  .  “  ––––––––  it’s  just  ,  i  may  be  stubborn  too  but  i  bend  more  easily  than  seth  does  .  he  refuses  to  accept  any  other  way  except  his  own  .  ”  richard  stretches  his  head  from  side  to  side  before  relaxing  once  more  ,  hyper  focused  on  the  subject  at  hand  now  that  they  are  awake  and  discussing  .  “  how  many  times  now  have  we  had  to  do  things  over  again  because  he  wouldn’t  listen  the  first  time  ?  i  can  be  patient  but  not  at  the  expense  of  people  i  care  about  .  every  show  dominance  is  just  another  step  towards  putting  us  all  at  risk  .  ”

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐈𝐒  𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒  𝐀  𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐊  with  every  lead  caroline  follows  .  unknown  dangers  awaiting  the  obscure  resources  she  seeks  to  help  with  the  future  of  their  daughters  .  this  one  however  seems  even  more  so  risky  than  all  the  others  ,  the  legends  buried  deep  within  books  of  dead  languages  .  she  is  hesitant  to  tell  alaric  but  it  would  be  naive  not  to  let  him  know  of  the  plan  should  something  happen  to  her  .  “  there  is  a  witch  ,  or  rather  more  than  a  witch  –––––––  the  text  isn’t  very  clear  .  she  is  said  to  be  more  powerful  than  an  ordinary  witch  because  of  demon  possession  ?  or  demon  blood  ,  the  text  isn’t  exactly  clear  .  but  her  powers  can  do  what  others  can’t  so  she  may  be  able  to  help  us  .  ” 

𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒  𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐀𝐑𝐄  𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐒𝐇𝐄  𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒  𝐅𝐎𝐑  ––––––  always  be  prepared  for  any  situation  ,  be  alert  and  aware  of  your  surroundings  .  there  is  a  gun  in  the  glove  compartment  ,  a  knife  underneath  the  driver’s  seat  which  she  reaches  for  as  the  stranger  persistently  attempts  to  open  the  door  .  but  before  she  can  prove  herself  ,  seth  is  there  to  save  the  day  .  kate  will  admit  it  feels  as  if  her  heart  will  beat  right  out  of  her  chest  and  his  presence  is  calming  but  it  leaves  another  unanswered  question  of  could  she  have  defended  herself  .  a  silent  look  of  reassurance  and  kate  moves  within  the  car  to  the  passanger  seat  to  leave  the  driver’s  side  open  for  seth  .  the  stranger  raises  his  hand  as  he  takes  a  couple  of  steps  back  from  the  weapon  pointed  at  him  ,  stating  it’s  all  been  a  misunderstanding  before  turning  to  disappear  back  into  the  night  .

“  𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘  𝐀𝐈𝐍’𝐓  𝐀𝐋𝐋  𝐈𝐓’𝐒  𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃  𝐔𝐏  𝐓𝐎  𝐁𝐄  .  ”  harley  would  know  ,  hers  never  wanted  her  to  begin  with  !  and  hey  –––––––  rejecting  made  her  into  the  gal  she  is  today  .  as  the  questions  turns  onto  her  harley  takes  a  moment  to  reflect  on  events  leading  up  the  fateful  night  she  took  a  plunge  into  a  vat  of  acid  .  a  declaration  of  love  reciprocated  in  him  following  after  her  (  or  so  she  thought  )  .  “  a  little  bit  of  acid  ,  some  electro-therapy  ––––  guess  you  could  say  it’s  a  combination  .  but  my  smarts  ?  now  those  i  was  born  with  ,  can’t  teach  what  i  know  up  here  .  ”  the  tip  of  her  finger  taps  against  the  side  of  her  head  ,  smile  forming  as  she  skips  beside  shay  .  

𝐈𝐍  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄  𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐀  𝐈𝐒  𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐄  kara  works  with  the  agents  on  board  ,  overlooking  every  satellite  for  signs  of  trouble  .  a  few  are  noted  with  agents  scattered  around  the  world  looking  into  them  and  reporting  back  .  she  paces  back  and  forth  waiting  for  mera’s  return  ,  a  sense  of  calm  returning  when  she  hears  the  sound  of  mera  rushing  through  the  water  and  breaking  through  the  surface  .  kara  meets  her  before  the  others  ,  nodding  at  the  information  she  delivers  .  “  we  picked  something  up  on  the  radar  ,  i’ll  tell  the  pilot  we  have  confirmation  and  to  head  in  that  direction  .  i  can  fly  ahead  and  see  what’s  going  on  ,  report  back  on  what  the  team  can  expect  .  ”

“  𝐎𝐇  𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄  𝐎𝐍  ,  you’re  underestimating  the  value  of  sugar  as  a  main  course  ingredient  !  ”  but  shaggy  promises  to  do  his  best  ,  after  all  he  doesn’t  ever  try  to  let  velma  down  on  purpose  ––––––  it  just  seems  to  happen  naturally  .  he  lays  out  the  ingredients  ,  subtly  pushing  aside  the  sardines  having  grabbed  them  earlier  and  begins  the  process  of  making  two  sandwiches  much  bigger  than  any  one  person  could  eat  yet  shaggy  finds  himself  able  to  stomach  two  just  by  himself  .  “  i  bet  you  wouldn’t  even  notice  a  couple  of  sprinkles  in  there  ,  the  crunch  really  gives  it  something  you  know  ?  but  it’s  fine  ,  just  means  extra  for  me  and  scoobs  .  he’ll  be  real  excited  to  wake  up  to  one  of  these  after  all  the  running  around  today  .  ”

𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃  𝐂𝐀𝐍  𝐀𝐋𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘  𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐇  𝐈𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃  –––––––  calling  this  an  overaction  ,  shay’s  imagination  once  again  pushing  them  to  react  to  a  situation  which  doesn’t  exist  .  but  seth  doesn’t  see  what  richard  sees  and  it’s  how  shay  is  hardly  ever  wrong  .  their  power  isn’t  something  one  can  comprehend  without  stretching  the  limits  of  their  mind  .  and  his  brother  is  as  stiff  as  they  come  .  even  kate  has  had  a  taste  of  it  ,  brought  back  from  death  with  the  same  power  coursing  now  through  shay  .  richard  has  slim  hopes  seth  will  grow  to  understand  and  accept  but  he  will  force  his  hand  now  to  get  them  to  safety  .  “  can  you  tell  me  anything  ?  ”  richard  speaks  once  they  are  both  in  the  car  ,  one  hand  on  the  wheel  and  the  other  dialing  seth  to  discover  where  exactly  he  ran  off  to  .

𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄  𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐃𝐒  𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒  at  the  rudeness  coming  from  this  man  she  just  met  but  then  again  kara  shouldn’t  be  surprised  –––––––  she  doesn’t  hesitate  to  stand  between  him  and  the  assailant  she  had  been  pursuing  who  now  lays  on  the  ground  ,  arms  crossing  over  the  symbol  on  her  chest  .  “  the  rudeness  is  a  little  uncalled  for  ––––  i’m  not  really  in  the  game  of  letting  someone  die  because  you  deemed  yourself  executioner  .  ”

“  𝐘𝐎𝐔  𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓  𝐆𝐄𝐓  𝐈𝐓  ,  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐇  .  ”  richard  was  blind  up  until  now  ,  couldn’t  see  how  controlling  his  brother  was  over  every  single  aspect  of  their  lives  .  and  he  went  along  with  it  ,  letting  seth  take  the  reigns  because  it  was  the  easy  way  out  .  but  now  ?  now  ,  richard’s  eyes  are  wide  open  to  the  world  around  him  and  the  part  he  must  play  .  it’s  no  longer  a  child’s  game  of  follow  the  leader  –––––––  and  the  only  person  having  an  issue  adjusting  is  his  brother  .  “  because  now  i  don’t  say  how  high  when  you  ask  me  to  jump  ,  you  can’t  handle  the  fact  i  can  see  things  for  myself  and  what  i  see  is  sometimes  (  always  )  better  than  what  you  see  .  ”

“  𝐍𝐎𝐓  𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐘  𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃  𝐈𝐍  𝐀𝐍𝐘  𝐎𝐅  𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑  𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐒,  𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐀  .  ”  perhaps  before  richard  had  fallen  for  her  charms  ,  it  led  him  to  what  he  is  today  ,  but  his  eyes  have  opened  since  then  .  he  isn’t  so  quick  to  fall  into  her  trap  .  “  of  course  ,  this  means  that  you  need  me  for  something  .  and  if  it  something  you  can’t  do  on  your  own  then  it  must  be  dangerous  .  ”    

𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐄𝐘𝐄  𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋  𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐒  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆  ,  caroline  sighing  with  frustration  as  she  sets  the  newly  organized  papers  down  on  the  desk  .  “  it’s  changed  a  bit  since  the  last  time  you  were  here  ,  some  charms  added  to  expand  the  space  considering  how  many  students  we  have  .  ”  caroline  can’t  help  but  be  proud  of  what  she  and  ric  have  accomplished  ,  the  legacy  being  created  by  their  school  and  how  so  many  lives  are  being  effected  .  caroline  had  stefan  when  she  transitioned  to  guide  her  ,  teach  her  how  to  survive  but  so  many  of  their  students  have  no  one  .  “  come  on  ,  i  promise  you’ll  be  impressed  .  ”

𝐈𝐅  𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐄  𝐈𝐒  𝐀  𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍  𝐎𝐅  𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓  ,  elsa  intends  on  doing  exactly  so  .  she  understands  every  ruler  is  different  but  expectations  on  how  strangers  should  act  in  their  land  does  not  differ  .  “  as  an  expert  on  this  land  ,  i  will  𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓  your  judgement  .  ”  she  owes  a  lot  to  jefferson  ,  for  getting  her  to  wonderland  in  hopes  of  discovering  the  truth  of  what  happened  to  her  parents  .  questions  that  elsa  needs  answers  too  ,  they  hold  her  back  from  being  the  queen  she  is  destined  to  be  .  “  you  sound  familiar  with  the  queen  of  hearts  and  of  the  customs  in  this  land  .  is  there  anything  i  should  know  ?  ”
