I don't have a full plot worked out yet, but I think there's room for more Higuruma. Maybe he awakens his CT earlier, or maybe he crosses paths with her while doing lawyer things, because unlike Spices whose crimes were mostly accidental disasters, this woman is a super wanted criminal in both the civilian and jujutsu worlds and has a rap sheet that would make Higuruma develop a stress-induced migraine on sight 💀

I also remember during the Sukuna fight he was like, "Yeah, I'm blaming all this city damage on Sukuna," and then immediately remembered Mei Mei was streaming the whole thing.

I don't think Gojo would ever enjoy hurting people just because he can. But in a dark AU? Yeah, I could totally see him just leaning into his sorcerer instincts and not giving a damn about collateral damage anymore.

Yeah, Gojo has never cared much about property damage, and that's definitely one area where he and Spices are dangerously compatible 😂

But at his core, canon Gojo still wants to help people. He wants to save them, protect them, and create a better world for the next generation.

The AU I was talking about is more along the lines of Nanami's infamous airport statement, where Gojo really is just a thrill-seeker chasing the next good fight, doing whatever he wants because nobody can stop him. If someone gets in his way, he removes the obstacle. The higher-ups would be truly terrified of him then.

He wouldn't go around beating up random civilians for fun or anything, of course. But if innocent people got caught in the cross fire? Well… that's the price of doing business, and Dark!Gojo isn't losing sleep over it.

I also remember an ask from a while back on the topic of adding gojos' powers into the equation of smut, how would that work? What can he even see through those magical orbs of his 🔵👄🔵

I try to update FASM at least once every two weeks, but right now I'm focused on finishing the PWNAO finale, so the next chapter will probably be sometime next week. The draft is already written, but as always, editing remains my greatest nemesis 😔

And yes, there will be smut. The complication is that Spices is gender-neutral in FASM, which makes it extra tricky. I also plan to do a smuttier fem!Spices version, so that's even more editing waiting for me 💀

I've been thinking about a Heian-era AU with Kyubi and both Sukuna and Gojo, but I've run into one major problem: I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to make Sukuna and Gojo tolerate each other long enough for the poly to function.

Unrelated but, I've also been thinking about doing a dark!Gojo AU, basically the polar opposite of the Gojo you know from my fics. Remember this panel?

Honestly, that scene ruined Nanami's character for me, so I've chosen to pretend it never happened.

That said, I have to admit the idea itself is fun.

That version of Gojo who fully embraces being the monster everyone sees him as? Delicious🤤

Okay, so I was re-reading 'Of Rust and Rose', and this caught my eye and I began to just think spirals around it. Rust and rose, he was both.

Um, so, I have no words for it???? Like, there's the superficial (is that the right word for it) layer of his hair, I think. Like silver and pink, new and old - like pink is the colour of spring and new beginnings, isn't it? Sakura and such. Then the rust aspect of it - beginning to rust over the new, the small, young boy he was in the original work - and I think the rust aspect of it is so powerful because Itadori's still under the silver and rust. Like how rust goes over a metal piece, not consumes it, and how any good oiling can make it anew again. But there will always be a trace of it, like how Itadori will still have the scars remaining - but I feel like Spices was the 'oil', so to say crudely, the thing that washed over the rust and let it exist as just..the rose.

And the 'He was both.' I just find this so powerful because it means Itadori is existing as both, as both the small, young boy who looked up to his senpai (rose) and the jaded, caring man he is now (rust). And the 'rose' part - like, obviously, smart alliteration and the symbol of love - but I feel like it resembles layers, kind of. Like how roses have layers and layers of petals, and once they all furl away, there's just a tightly bound little packet of new, fresh, petals. And if rust creeps over the rose - well, there's always some rose existing under all that rust, isn't there? Like how the years have not become one with Itadori, despite the 'both', but more like a layer. Another stronger layer than the petals, but a layer Spices can see through nonetheless. And that's what I find so beautiful. Spices can see through the layer, but they decide to accept the layer of rust as part of the rose, hence the 'he was both'. It's like walking into a grocery store, seeing the apples and bananas beginning to merge into one colossal entity of fruit, and instead of separating them - you take them both home, because they're both fruit. Gosh, that sounds stupid in retrospect, but it's the only comparison I can make haha.

And bringing context into it, I just find it so, so gorgeous. Because Itadori was the rose under the sun, the kouhai under senpai, and he still is. Only now, buried away, without the sun, there is rust. And when the senpai came back - the sun came back and embraced the rose for what it was, not for what it had become - a rusty, but still beautiful flower that deserves everything.

What I meant is that the next chapter is basically Gojo and Spices finally getting their well-earned smut without the plot barging in every five minutes. Usually even the fluffy chapters have clues, setup, or some looming disaster hidden in the background, but this one will be free from all that.

There'll still be relationship development, of course. In fact, Spices will finally call him by his actual name 👀
