I don't plan to show my daughter that I would cry over a relationship. I will show her how to value herself and never settle for anything less than she deserves. To do this I don't mind if it means that I might not find love. For I will not subject myself to players, flakers, promise breakers, settling, mistaking love for lust or trying to pretend something I'm not in order to gain a love that is clearly not meant to be. We're all on a path and if someone just so happens to be on the same one I am or vice versa, then alright but if not, that's cool too. If anything I would teach her what there is to love about life.

Dating as a young single mother in today's society is beyond scary. With so much to do: get youself up, get ready, wake up your babies to get ready for school and if they're picky eaters, breakfast and making lunch is always to be a problem, trying not to leave late and be on time to school drop off and not be late to work...again, working a full time job, while going to school youself during the day or if online which is an "I'll get to it when I can, oh crap deadlines are tomorrow?!" But yet it still fits your schedule, yet make sure your babies homework is atleast halfway done so it can be turned in, while finishing laundry, mopping, vacuuming all the while making dinner and somehow glancing at your own homework but making sure your child balances tv time and outside play because that's what the dr says but having to keep an eye on them outside because of the sketchy neighborhood you live in, and trying to get them fed, showered maybe read or just straight to bed because mommy is too tired but still try to keep up that figure because society says moms can still be fit. So trying to squeeze a workout session somewhere in the mix of what already has to be done and in there somewhere are the unexpected playdates or planned ones but always trying to find a way out of birthday parties or school events sometimes you get stuck in the occasional obligation that just makes you want to curse up a storm. This, this is done daily but single moms or dads [which I can't speak for ] want that one person to talk to at the end of the day. To get that "you are amazing for all that you do, let me hold the other side of the world off your back-so you can breath" kind of refreshing sigh of relief and love. We are so used to taking care of so much like a CEO that we forget and can't seem to trust someone new because if for some reason this new person chickens out or finds they have doubt and say nothing about it, cripples everything we already built for ourself and offspring. So don't fuck us up. If you want in. Be in, because you want in.

Everyone is to be learned from. The coldest of hearts, to become unbroken. The hateful of beings, to grow more empathetic. The abstractly intelligent, to be understood. The lost, to be found. The hurt, to be healed. The joyous, to be enjoyed. The unheard, to be accepted. The used, to be useful. And the caring to be shared.
