It’s so actually depressing how they’re so much alike, so different. The thing is they are the most empathetic idiots but both of them when it comes to their own feelings they tend to rationalize it. They both CANNOT actually live without each like, Chuuya cannot live without Dazai or he’ll go on a rampage and destroy everything and Dazai would in fact lose MORE reason to live. The thing that kills me they cannot for the life of them figure out that they love each other since they were there for each other on so many occasions because they are enemies. they could never be enemies though because they were “required” to be partners, due to Dazai filling the role of strategic technique (in actuality vibing and bossing Chuuya around) and Chuuya being the strength of the operation (also getting pissed at Dazai for NEVER telling him shit). Dazai doesn’t like it when Chuuya is getting manipulated (which Chuuya fails to see due to his loyalty) and Chuuya doesn’t like it when Dazai gets hurt (which he keeps doing to himself). Both of them don’t belong in this world and they know it. Dazai knows it and Chuuya’s daily fight is to be accepted by people as form of security for himself. The ironic thing is they both “enemies” but in the end, they will always be the missing piece of each other’s soul.
