a few points to note:

A. zuko undergoes something called a redemption arc, where he unlearns the beliefs he held before and actively changes for the better. i don’t need to point out what he did or believed in the past and hold him accountable for it, because the show has already done the job for me.

B. you talk about zuko mocking aang’s culture in tsr, while completely ignoring the context of the situation, and everything i have mentioned about it in my previous responses. let’s look at the lead-up to that conversation:

Aang: The monks used to say that revenge is like a two-headed rat viper. While you watch your enemy go down, you're being poisoned yourself. Zuko: That's cute, but this isn't air temple preschool. It's the real world.

and for zuko’s next remark:

Aang: You need to face this man. But when you do, please don't choose revenge. Let your anger out, and then let it go. Forgive him. Zuko: Okay, we'll be sure to do that, guru goody-goody.

these are the only two comments zuko makes about air nomad culture in the episode, and they are a direct response to aang’s attempts to impose his own cultural beliefs on katara.

zuko is angry on katara’s behalf here, and he has a right to be, because as i have said time and again, you are entitled to your own beliefs, but you are not entitled to use those beliefs to dictate the actions of others, especially when they do not come from the same culture that you do.

would you be happy if your friend from another religion decided to start preaching to you, based on their own religious beliefs, about how you should deal with your mother’s murderer? i bet you wouldn’t, because you know that’s disrespectful and insensitive.

i agree that zuko’s remarks weren’t nice or respectful, but they are a response to aang’s own disrespect of katara’s agency and cultural beliefs. the southern water tribe evidently doesn’t practice pacifism, so why on earth would aang have any right to presume that katara should adopt a pacifistic approach? or that it’s the only way for her to get closure and begin healing?

and unlike zuko, who takes accountability for his past wrongs towards the gaang and actively works to redeem himself, aang never understands that what he did to katara was wrong and never tries to make amends for it. that is why i address it, because the narrative sure as hell doesn’t.

It must be someone else's work that you read and recommend that other people read.

The work should have minimal spelling and grammatical errors.

I don't have time to read every submission, and frankly, some won't interest me. So please include the appropriate tags so I know where to put them on the list. Include when it takes place and any possible trigger warnings. And please include if it contains smut or not.

If you want to be super helpful, just format it just the same way I do. Seriously. Then I can just copy and paste it and it gets a way better chance of making it on the list. Here is the template:

List when it takes place, which categories it fits, and if there is smut

A couple of other things:

I tried to separate out fics with smut so that people can avoid it if they so desire. But it has been a while since I read a lot of these works, so there may be a mistake. If you find one, let me know so I can correct it.

Same goes with anything else that is mislabeled. (I'm sorry guys, it was a pain in the @$$ to tag over 100 fanfics, have mercy)

If you are here to give me hate for enjoying this fandom I have bad news for you: I'm going to ignore you, because I just don't care. Especially because if you still decide to send hate, I'm going to assume you just can't read.
