NEW QnA about 'Jane', Bailey and Eden: fireworks, Bailey's old photo, overprotective grandma(grandpa)... Spoilers Warning!!!
You mentioned that Bailey and Eden used to exchange gifts and celebrate together. When they were younger, how did they usually celebrate the New Year?
They liked to go to Starfish Street together, to watch the fireworks. Boats would (and still do) launch them over the sea.
Following up on that, what would Eden do, what would Bailey do, and what would Bailey's crush do?
Bailey's crush would enjoy the fireworks a lot. Eden would enjoy the fireworks too, but they'd have preferred to watch from the orphanage window. Bailey would find them dull, and was mostly there because their crush and Eden were.
The text about Bailey's photo is amazing! The blurred face and the use of neutral pronouns leave so much room for imagination. The scene where Bailey cuts themself out of the photo is incredibly emotional, even though they don't show much, it really makes players feel the weight of those feelings. Who is that one with Robin and PC in the photo?
Where was Eden when this photo was taken?
In Robin's dream, who's crying in the youth ward?
Bailey's protectiveness toward newborns seems instinctive and very different from how they treat adult orphans. Is this protective instinct influenced by someone else, or by Bailey's own past?
It's a natural instinct. Or if not, it's rooted deep enough that it might as well be. Events in their past might have influenced it.
You mentioned that Bailey's crush also cooks with Bailey and Eden, and that they enjoy baking. Do they use the same kitchen?
Meanwhile, what would Eden usually prepare? And what would Bailey prepare?
Eden would try to make the tastiest thing they could with the limited ingredients. Bailey would boil meat and veg the same as they do now. The residents were much happier with Eden cooking.
Recently, I saw Bailey's Christmas gift again, and noticed the gift has Bailey's name written on it. Bailey reads it before taking the gift. Is that handwriting familiar to them?
What kind of sexual partners does Bailey have? I'd like to know what factors influence their choices, is money one of them?
Their sexual partners are always conventionally attractive, but little about their personality has an influence. Money has no influence, though they'd opportunistically try to get some if they thought they could.
If I remember correctly, you once said that Bailey's libido ranks low among the villains. Since Bailey still has an active sex life, does it serve purposes beyond sexual desire or pleasure?
Do Bailey's sexual partners include people from outside the town?
Before Bailey took over, what were the main sources of income for the orphanage?
Much the same as it is now.
After Bailey took over, what were the main sources of income for the orphanage?
Initially they relied more on charity, but it wasn't enough.
Does Bailey know about the existence of Virgo and Auriga? If so, how much do they know?
Does Bailey have religious beliefs, or are they an atheist? Or do they follow a personal belief system that includes gods and/or other non-divine entities?
They have no religious beliefs.
Does Eden have religious beliefs, or are they an atheist?
They have their own belief system.
Eden is afraid of ivory wraith. In previous Q&As, you mentioned that Eden and Bailey would assume they are hallucinating when encountering things beyond human understanding. Does this mean that they have experienced hallucinations under some conditions in the past?
Aye, they have experienced hallucinations in the past.
If 0 means "no feeling at all" and 100 means "completely distraught", how severe is the pain Bailey feels about something in the past (mentally, physically, or combination of both)?
How severe is the pain Eden feels about the same thing (0–100)?
You mentioned putting aside the idea that if the PC hides in the cabin long enough, Bailey would visit Eden's cabin and shake them down. If this actually happened, what would happen in detail?
Bailey would show up and demand that Eden pay for continued use of the PC. Eden would have nothing to give, but would refuse to give up the PC. Bailey would depart after a tense moment. From then on, Bailey's goons would show up, sabotaging Eden's cabin and efforts to survive in the forest, up to and included snatching the PC should they find the PC unguarded.
That's the gist anyway. I'm sure details will change if/when I include it in the game.
Would you please share some fun or interesting stories from Eden and Bailey's past?
Hmm. I don't think I've told anyone about the time Bailey and Eden visited the forest to skate on the ice, and Eden fell through. They sheltered in a nearby cave while Eden's clothes dried. This was when Eden learned that Bailey had been practising starting fires, and had become quite good at it.
Eden has been wary of the lake since. They've fished there since moving to the forest, but they're more comfortable hunting. People from town occasionally showing up on the opposite bank adds to this wariness.
