These past few years have been...something, and everyone barring the 1 percent and their lackies is having a hard time. But if there is anything I've learned, it is that community is everything and we have to take care of each other. I am reaching out to you know during a very stressful period of my life for support for myself and my partner.

There was a transition period when you and your boyfriend first got together, as Shouto acclimated to being physically close to another person. You two barely held hands in your first month of dating, and you didn’t kiss until even longer. You privately compared your stoic boyfriend to a wary cat, enjoying your company but watching from a safe distance. You had to wait for him to come to you.

Your patience paid off, though. It was worth the wait; he was worth the wait. And he was making up for lost time. Now - again, much like a cat - Shouto had no problem wordlessly demanding your attention whenever the mood mysteriously struck him. This included plopping his head in your lap when you were alone together, the silent request to have his hair played with louder than if he’d actually spoken. 

Having spent the better part of a year admiring his beautiful hair before you started dating, you of course had no problem with this. Your hand easily slipped into his silken hair, combing through it, and gently scratched his head. His responding sigh was its own award.

“You know…if you ever decide to grow your hair longer, you have my unconditional love and support.”

The corners of his lips curled as Shouto spoke, a teasing lilt to his words, “What if I were to cut it all off?”

Your fingers paused, red and white strands threaded between them. You imagined what it would be like to suddenly have them gone.

“You’ll still have my unconditional love,” you said only because it was true. You couldn’t imagine a world where you didn’t love Todoroki Shouto.

Long eyelashes fluttered when he partially opened his eyes, staring up at you with a half-lidded gaze. That soft look alone spoke volumes of Shouto’s returning feelings and made your breath catch.

“But my support is definitely conditional.”

I think it’s because I see her behavior as low key pressuring Shouto to forgive and I’m bitter about it….but those are also very American ideas and this is JAPANESE MEDIA

Well, everyone is entitled to their interpretation. But please keep all Fuyumi-hate away from me or my ask-box, because I just don't stand for it.

I never see Fuyumi pressuring Shouto into forgiving. It's pretty much established that once there is a sliver of hope that Rei may be released, Fuyumi starts working on trying to create somewhere she can return to. (This is before Endeavor gets the brilliant idea of building a new place for them).

She creates opportunities for the family to be together, and yes, the fighting is sad and stressful for her, but she doesn't tell off her brothers or invalidates their feelings. She literally says that she feels the same as Natsuo, but she tries to look forward for their mom's sake.

She also accepts Shouto's indecision.

Her forgiving is not any less valid than Natsuo keeping his anger or Shouto's indecision.

The work she does for the family, and creating the opportunities she does is essential not only for Enji to start to understand what atonement takes, but also for Shouto and Natsuo to start to get closer and understand each other better, to have a solution for Rei.

Fuyumi could have left the dysfunctional house when she was 18, but she stayed for her brothers. She even told Natsuo to get out and be free from it, but chose to stay to try to help Shouto who was mentally at a really bad place in late middle school.
