hi! i'm sure you get tons of asks about your editing, but I actually wanna know how you get your reshade to work in the night time. night time shots are always a nightmare for me.
oh anon how I feel your pain ;-; for me, I think game lighting is key in this case! Say, this shot:
I had background lamps to set the lighting, aside from the main ones, changed the colors and intensities up to my liking (nearest is stronger, furthest is dimmer) while I had reshade on. but pay attention bc you don’t want it to look too bright, it’s night after all!
I also spent a ton of time editing my reshade with night time, to kind of get it where I wanted it to be, adjusting brightness, levels, curves, etc, and it still needs some work! I’d say keep an eye out for the filmic pass bc that could drastically change everything!
But again, ps editing, it makes the difference, trust me! Even if it looks washed out or too dark w reshade, let it, and simply use adjustment layers (brightness or levels, or both), or lighting effects when editing!

awww thank you so much anon 💕 unfortunately I’m pretty sure I can’t put an edited version of the preset up for dl, but I could maybe someday try and make one? I’m a bit lost when it comes to making presets from scratch tho

hello anon!! thank youuu, I use a very very very edited version of this one! But I’m gonna be honest, most of my posts rely on photoshop lighting and editing, so reshade acts as a ‘primary layer’.

Honestly just take about 100 photos of the same pose from every angle. I know that’s a little OTT but it’s what I do, and after I’ll rifle through all the screenshots to try and find the right ones.
A better tip? Take screenshots of clutter, characters body language, Hell even the ugly seagulls the game provides; this adds depth. Rather than just always taking face shots, this is what I was guilty of when I first started Starcrossed! ♥️💕
