Mercury scratched his chin.  ”Yeah….this is going to require a lot of after-class work.  We could meet up in one of our dorms?  Or somewhere else?” he said, throwing ideas around.  

Mercury nodded.  He was sure his associates would be busy and out during the time they worked on the project.  "Yeah, my dorm sounds nice," he said.  "It'll be empty tonight.  My teammates have some things to do."

Mercury took a peek at the wad of cash.  ”Might as well.  It couldn’t hurt,” he said.  Mercury led her over to a booth and sat across from her. 

"You're telling me," he said, flipping through the menu in front of him.  "You know, it's nice to have a day off like this where we can go out and not have to get our hands dirty."

Mercury was tugged inside, almost tripping.  Emerald was much stronger than she looked.  His lips curled up into a wider smile.

"Well, this is it," he said, motioning his hands to the small diner.  "Dust City Diner."

Mercury was tugged inside, almost tripping.  Emerald was much stronger than she looked.  His lips curled up into a wider smile.  

"Relax, Em," he said.  "We’d just gotten here when that happened.  I know you know your way around now."

Mercury tried not to burst into laughter.  ”I kid, Emerald.  Though you did get lost when we were going after that book shop guy.”
