Yeah, just wanted to throw in my humanized version of them juuuuuusssst incase they somehow escape (unlikely) and we get to see what they actually look like (not gonna happen probably).
I tried to give them unique faces and personalities while also trying to keep some of their circus gimmicks so you know who's who without looking at the names 🙂!

True that. I had a friend in high school who right after we graduated she got married and I'm like 😳 "to each thier own I guess" at least she and her husband knew each other for years before then 😅
For more clarity on what my au is about, note that it is first and foremost a Bunnydoll centric story. Though I may have grown a new soft spot for Showtime (they get to have thier own arc too of course), the main story and the overall focus in general has always been the relationship build up between Jax and Ragatha; a classic "enemies to lovers", "slow burn", "will they or will they won't?" type. So don't fret Bunnydollers, these two still have a special place in my heart!
As for the inspiration for the au...I pretty much just take inspiration from anywhere, bits and pieces from various movies or stories that I like. But I'll say the medias that influenced my au the MOST would have to be Watership Down, A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and of course Howl's Moving Castle. I'll give brief reasons why:
Watership Down: since Jax is one of the mc, the plot of course focuses on his backstory/heritage. In the au, each of the main cast have a "race" they belong to, so for Jax his race is the "rabbitfolk", and thier culture/society is very heavily influenced by the rabbits in Watership Down. I recommend this book to anyone who loves bunnies. It's very underrated but it's also kinda dark 😅
Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: this is mostly just my personal playlist for this au. The songs are bangin', especially Pure as The Driven Snow, that one basically sums up bunnydoll for this au lol. Some of you might remember when I referenced one of the songs in a Ribbit post a while back. Fun fact: Lucy Gray was a blueprint for Ribbits personality.
Howl's Moving Castle: pretty much beat for beat with this one; Caine travels around in a giant circus on the shell of a giant elephant-turtle cryptid thing, is somewhat of a demi-god with a curse and gets the feels for a local jester trapped in his house. Whether or not Pomni reciprocates those feelings I'm not sure yet, but I do love me some one-sided doom ships. 🤔 Also, just the unapologetic weirdness and whimsy of the world in this movie is what inspired the world of my au in the first place. That and combined with the brightly colored, I Spy-ish "toy" world of tadc and you've got yourself a setting that thrives on unhinged bizarreness.
Hopefully this cleared up any confusion, this explanation was loooong overdue and y'all deserve some answers :>.

Ah yes, the famous sky dance scene from that one Studio Ghibli movie, of whichesth my au takes inspiration from ✨️
I'm very happy at how this turned out EXCEPT...for Pomni's pants. Ugghhhjksjsk, idk WHY I chose to change the colors, I guess I thought it'd be too much red/blue/yellow but it looks ugly *siiiiiiiiiggghhhhhh*
Showtime in my au is er,, complicated to say the least.
Ya see, in the current timeline Pomni is stuck in the traveling circus (got stuck by her own curiosity) and her only companion is Caine. Caine in my au is pretty much the same except for the part where he's an immortal being who's origin is unknown. A lot of legend and mystery surrounds his character, as he hardly ever ventures down to the "ground dwellers", as he calls them, preferring instead for his bees to be his eyes/voice.
He's thought to have had a hand in creating the world, is the only one who can "talk" to the sun and moon and seems to know when someone is about to abstract, though he can't prevent/reverse it. (The lore of abstraction is a little different in my au, but I'm not gonna get into it here..).
Because he's such an enigma to the mortals, he's taboo and even just seeing his traveling circus from afar is enough to "curse" you. So you can imagine when Pomni realizes she's trapped and at his mercy she's scared out of her wits.
But Caine is ecstatic. It's been ages since a mortal has been brave enough to walk into his domain! Finally someone to talk to and befriend!
Caine does everything to accommodate his new friend, but all Pomni wants is to get back home to her actual friends like Kaufmo.
But surely she doesn't want to leave so soon? She just got here! And if Caine can show her what a wonderful host he is then maybe she'll change her mind!
So yeah, Caine still lacks empathy is this version but he's not doing it out of maliciousness, he's just lonely :'(
Pomni eventually warms up to him once she's calmed down but is torn between two worlds: one is the one she's known her whole life, with its comforting familiarities and routines where the other, even with its unpredictable nature, offers the thrills she's craved for so long, a break from the normal.
She'll decide which world she wants eventually, it the meantime she'll teach Caine a thing or two about personal space.
So that's basically the background of these two, I can imagine that the picture depicts Caine's attempt to take her on a tour outside the circus; "hey? She said she wanted to leave, why don't I show her around by flying 200000 ft above the ground? She'll LOVE that!"
